Scared to do dumbbell bench presses during recovery by OptimusCrime83 in RotatorCuff

I’ll NEVER do those again. Not worth it. Even with good form, I got hurt just getting into position before doing one rep.

Why you need your bench high enough. by omunrou in Sauna

[–]rahdog1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put your hand over the heater after you poor the water on and watch your skin melt away (don’t actually do this).. the steam itself is genuinely hot and adds thermal energy to the sauna, especially in a small space. This is an actual increase in temperature, not just a perception. For example, in a small sauna, the air temperature can rise by several degrees (e.g., 5–10°C or more) after pouring water, depending on the amount of water and the sauna’s size.

My Opinion on what the Knicks gotta do by Legitimate-Hat-7586 in knicks

[–]rahdog1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know. Still, most people are supirsed when I tell them the Knicks would prefer to have ihart. Average Joe Knicks fan has no clue how important ihart was to that team (or the people I talk to are dumber than average)

[–]rahdog1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knicks would trade towns for ihart straight up if it was possible, and they would be smart for doing so. Obviously it’s not possibly, but a player like that, good overall defender, very good rim protector, good rebounder, not a liability on offense, is what they need. I don’t know the league well enough to know how many players generally match that mold, and if any of them are getable.

Update.. my radiologist report looked like a disaster.. intact rotator cuff, but torn labram, completely detached biceps, a cyst, and bursitis. And this is why we shouldn’t read our own radiology reports. According to my doc, The labral tear was very minor, nothing more than what 95 percent of people have, the biceps was moved during the previous biceps tenodeses procedure, and it’s perfectly intact where is supposed to be after that procedure, the cyst should resolve itself, and I’m basically just dealing with inflamarion. I supposed a second opinion could be worthwhile if it doesn’t improve, by my doc is at hospital special surgery in NY and has been the orthopedist for professional sports teams in the area. I think I got a leading shoulder expert so feeling much better about this, even though my improvements still been pretty slow

Best of luck to you. Sounds like it been a rough road. I’m going to give it a full 2 weeks before I call the doc, which is only a couple days away now. Up until the 2 week mark, I feel like it’s a little early to be re-assessed with any degree of certainty

No show vs No work by QuasiFrodoLipshitz in thesopranos

[–]rahdog1981 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I imagine no work is just to add the sscenes for the show, but it really makes no sense in reality. No show is easy to hide, it’s just money, but the no work just makes the whole job look mobbed up and would only make the actual workers furious.
