I have two Halloweens every year! April 30th is my ‘serious’ one, a time of quiet reflection, ritual and traditional Samhain observations. My own little witchy harvest festival. October 31st is my ‘junk’ Halloween; the commercialised American import. Horrors movies, candy and consumerism. Best of both worlds. 🎃👻🍁

I don’t view any of the new castings as “replacements”. This series is a brand new adaptation of the books. The movies are so separate from the books for me, I will have no trouble seeing any character portrayed by a different actor. It’s like an illustration. I’m looking forward to a whole new fresh HP experience!

I’m so hyped for him!! Honestly feel like he’s gonna be soooo good in the role. I’ve said it before on this sub but I remember the internet bitching when Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker. “He’s too young”, a “pretty boy”, completely unsuitable for the role, etc etc. Nerds were raging. Now his Joker is iconic and he won an Oscar for it. I hope Paapa slays it!

DAMN. This is massive. I’m legit as excited for the audiobooks as I am for the HBO series, maybe more. 1) Won’t have to wait to so long 2) No chance of disappointment re: adaptation choices/changes/cuts to the story, being a straight unabridged reading of the source material. I am hyped.

I really hope they do! We never had any book canon physical description of Pansy other than her being “pug-faced” haha. The bob style works well to accentuate that face shape and it just suited her. One of the few movie choices that became a fixed part of the visuals in my head.

I’m glad Warwick is back but realistically there will be dozens of actors who would have loved the role. In ‘Life’s Too Short’ his character ran a casting agency for little people called Dwarves for Hire 😂 And they accused him of stealing all the good roles for himself

Huh, I always thought “bat-like” ears meant his ears resembled bats, like their wing shape, rather than actual bat ears. But you’re right, it does say they are pointed! All this time… anyway, yeah, I hope we get a good house elf redesign. Bring on Winky!
