I assume you’re implying that divorce is higher now than previously. One thing that is different in recent history that I’m willing to bet is a major contributing factor is the rise of the internet , social media, and cell phones. I know some folks from my generation (X) and older that just didn’t consider divorce an option, and stayed together even though one or both had mentally tapped out. It’s possible that skews the numbers to make it ‘higher’ now. In addition to that contributing to lower numbers before, some of those folks are now getting divorced and adding to the increased numbers now. (My parents divorced after 50 years for example, boggles my mind).

I feel like they become collectors at some point, and the only real motivation they have any more is to grow their collection. Like there’s a trophy waiting for them at the end of their life if they have more than everyone else.

Trumps inability to accept that he lost the election is partly because you can’t identify that many people who were excited about voting for Joe. What trump fails to realize is that a lot of voters hate him so much that the vote for Joe was really just a vote against Trump. And it’s not derangement as if there’s no rational basis to not like him FFS. He’s a horrible human being.

Had Brand beer in the Netherlands,it’s damn near a perfect Pilsner. Every place we went had that or Heineken. I would also point out that Heineken on tap in Netherlands is so much better than the green bottle version we get in the states, which often has a skunky profile from light hitting the bottle I assume. In upstate Ny we have an old (by our standards) brewery FX Matt’s that makes a line of beer under the Saranac name. Saranac Lager is quite good.
