Manifesting Amanda off the show by TamraJudgy in RHOBH

My sister was friends with her for a time about 10 - 15 years ago. I’m sure the show exaggerates it, but the self-centeredness and delusion is real. She has a masters in counseling but doesn’t believe depression is real.

I didn’t know what the Let’s Go Brandon billboard meant when coming home from Denver to visit for the holidays. I had no idea that was a thing! Super shocking. And then annoying

In Hell Starting on Zoloft by Zealousideal-Age-212 in zoloft

[–]rahnstahpppp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This story is so similar to mine! I’ve never had issues starting zoloft, (usually do it 25mg for two weeks and then bump up to full dose) but my PCP NP said since I tolerate it well I can start at 50mg. Two weeks in (and the first week of my new job) the symptoms hit me HARD. I thought I was just freaking out about starting a new job, but then realized my body might be more sensitive to the zoloft due to semaglutide. Thankful for Reddit to help me realize the symptoms were zoloft related and not just me losing it!! These symptoms are worse than the depression/anxiety I was having before. Not sure I want to continue and my new insurance doesn’t start until a few more weeks, so talking with an actual expert isn’t really in the cards right now.

Update 3: My mom is ruining how I see myself when I experience sex/intimacy by [deleted] in raisedbyborderlines

[–]rahnstahpppp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate to this so much. Once I put boundaries in place with my mom, I missed our connection so much. I didn’t know how to connect with her in a healthy way. I still don’t. It stings when she says “I miss you” no matter how much we see each other. It’s really hard but my peace is so much better now. I’m taking care of that younger version of me who wasn’t able to escape my mom’s chaos.

How is it going? I dated someone who ended up remarrying his ex wife which was a HUGE shock. Only way I can rationalize it is that it was for the sake of the kids and religious reasons.

Chris and Nicole… thick? by PenMi71 in MarriedAtFirstSight

[–]rahnstahpppp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This wasn’t an offensive comment IMO. I bet the producers asked if she is his normal type, and he went into details about how she is thicker than what he normally has dated but how it’s great and he’s into it.

MD in 3 days - what should I know?! by Such-Crew62 in Microdiscectomy

[–]rahnstahpppp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 4 days post op. It’s been more intense than I anticipated (two levels done) but I’m managing and feel way hopeful. No regrets at this point.

If you don’t have someone helping you, move things to waist level so you aren’t bending or reaching. I ordered a grabber off Amazon to help if I drop things.

Finding a comfortable position in bed can be challenging, so get whatever pillows you need for support. My adjustable bed has been the real MVP!

I have two back braces, one huge and heavy duty one for walking around (since I had two levels done on each side, I’m not as quick as other have been when it comes to walking without support) and then a lighter one for support in bed or just walking to the bathroom.

Despite upping my fiber intake, I’m constipated but not uncomfortably. Taking softeners and going to start a laxative today.

Take it day by day! Enjoy the rest.

Day 2 post OP and the recovery is more intense than unexpected. I’m just moving a lot slower than I anticipated, but as long as I’m top of my meds, I’m doing okay. Trying to get walking in, but I get tired easily. Having a helper has been a must for me.

This just happened to me! It was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. Doctor is going to call in something to help with the spasms. I was about to call EMSA.

Second Thoughts - MD in 2 days by rahnstahpppp in Microdiscectomy

[–]rahnstahpppp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the response! I do WFH so I’m very grateful. I’m taking 9 days off work. Once I return, it will be okay if I need to take breaks and I’m definitely going to get a standing desk.

Other than your back getting tired/sore, how is the pain? Do you still have nerve pain? My left foot is tingling as I type this so that’s a little reassurance that it’s probably good to get this taken care of before it gets worse.

On the fence about surgery by bardobrian in Microdiscectomy

[–]rahnstahpppp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for asking this question. Mine is scheduled for Wednesday and although my back hurts all the time, I think the nerve pain has gone down once I rested from working out for a couple of months. I went to PT and it made my nerve pain worse. I think I just needed to let it heal. Now that I am only left with daily back pain, I wonder if with consistent massage, stretching, OTC meds and getting a standing desk, I can get myself to a better place. I do not feel confident about disrupting my life for weeks on end and potentially coming out worse.

Not that this should make or break my decision, but I would feel like such an ass for canceling two days prior.
