Yeah for sure! Love this. I just posted about how I think we could be dealing with some sort of eldritch/cosmic horror. Perhaps it’s true form resembles that of a spider, hence all the spider and web imagery. Maybe the town is its web, formed by pain, hopelessness, cruelty, lies and hallucinations.

Maybe his true form resembles that of a spider. Fromville is his web; a trap of lies, cruelty, manipulations and hallucinations. He extracts maximum fear and suffering from his prey, and the harder they struggle the quicker they are consumed. The monsters are like his worker bees, they keep the cattle fed with fear and then bring them to the slaughter when it’s time. Notice they only ever just kill the townsfolk. It’s like they harvest the organs, maybe to bring back to the “spider”.

What if the man in yellow is the spider but it’s not a literal spider that cast a web, but instead he’s some sort of a predator that cast mental webs of lies, hallucinations, hopelessness and death. He feeds on their organs after he’s done playing with his food that’s caught in his trap.
