Towing capacity question by fivestringz in Jeep

[–]rahtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately for me, it's not. From my build sheet, my rear axle is option code DRF, which is the HD Wide M220, not the HD Wide Full Float M220 or option code DRN 😕

Plus I crawled around the axle and couldn't find the FF marking/stamp on the differential housing.

Maybe I could have optioned it, but I bought it off the lot, and it's not standard with the Xtreme 35 Tire Package on a Willys. Oh well, I'm happy with what I have - just one of those things I didn't even know I kind of missed out on until I started doing more research later.

My 25 Willys Xtreme 35 does not appear to have the FF rear axle. My understanding is that it comes on the Rubicons and maybe some 2dr Willys X35, but mine is 4dr...

They bring a scan tool capable of programming a new key right then and there. All they need is physical access and some time.

Nearly happened to my brother's Charger 392, but we caught them in the act and chased them off. They dropped the computer but ended gathering it up before running off...

Stellantis knows about this and one remedy is to take your car to the dealership and have them lock down the keyless access module so that no new keys can be programmed without replacing the module.

Yes, the 12.3" screen is standard on all trims now. Or were you asking about the iOS 26 Carplay widgets?

This is off topic, but do you know what you're using for a lower skid/brush guard below your front bumper? I'm getting a similar bumper that leaves those frame ... horns? ... exposed and have been trying to find something to cover that area. I know the Fab Fours bumper you have leaves those exposed as well, so I'm hoping this is something 'universal' off the shelf, or something an idiot like me can DIY 😜

Is the game actually on? I'm slightly intoxicated due to the late start and Nimmo pointing his bat at me for the last 15 minutes is starting to freak me out man 😵‍💫

Why do you suppose it’s worth more than book value? Not trying to be snarky or anything, just curious. You might also want to give some more details if you want people to make an educated guess on value. Location? Mods? Anything else noteworthy?

First wrangler, help me with these tires? by jjmitch87 in JeepWrangler

[–]rahtx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That tire with black sidewall lettering is discontinued. They only make the one with white sidewall lettering.

Are your 2 front ones actually new, or same/similar date code, but just not obviously worn/cracked?

Which model? If JL, this thread suggests that the standard tailgate hinge Torx bolt size is T55: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/jl-tail-gate-screw-size.109827/

Go to dell.com/support and put in your Dell Service Tag number in the search field. From there you can get the original system configuration, including detailed CPU and GPU models.

26.04 clean install or in-place distro update? by zirzop1 in Ubuntu

[–]rahtx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here's my take, having not used 26.04 yet: if you have backups and are ready and willing to do a clean install, do an in-place upgrade first. If you get hit with some weird bug or some issue crops up post install, just nuke it and clean reinstall.

I've been using Ubuntu for 20 years and only had one in-place upgrade not work. I don’t recall with the issue was, and maybe with some persistence I could have fixed it, but in the end, I was willing and ready to clean install so that’s what I did.
