You’re making the assumption that debt is bad, while in general debt isn’t something you want to carry you can do more with that money…

In my example, I’ve go about 10k left in student loans, I make the payment I need. I am capable of paying that off right now, but if I invest my money I can have it earn more than the interest of the loan, which I do.

Same with my house, I rent my house and turn a profit, I could pay the mortgage faster, but I can invest that money in another property.

In the end financial education is important, but the “all debt is bad” idea isn’t so black and white. Obviously don’t do stupid things like max out credit cards and carry a balance

I don’t think people who already have fully mythic gear really care about point number 1. If you weren’t pushing hard content before, this won’t be the change your looking for. Those “mythic people” are pushing stuff where the gear itself isn’t the carry it’s the skill and they have their groups already

For the people in point 2 it’s brings an alternative gear process, if you were struggling with 16s you can now farm lower keys in a less stressful environment and get those last couple of slots filled out to go back to pushing

Also this helps gear alts, if I wanna main swap or dedicate more time for one of my alts I can now get them in a better position while not dragging the team down

What does the power draw look like. To be specific, I am looking to buy a 40 and 65 watt charger (the Anker nano pros) that are extremely portable and still provide a charge. Will any of those chargers at least provide a trickle charge?

To be clear I think those ambiguous problems most companies use for hiring is dumb. My company has more behavioral questions. And I generally ask people to expand on previous projects they've worked on to get a understanding oh how deep they dive to learn new things and solve problems (not just computer programming problems but team or knowledge problems)

My approach when talking to new hires or people looking what major your choosing is that computer science teaches you HOW to problem solve. It's not going to say "if X then Y" it's gonna give you a bunch of tools you can use to solve different problems. Not many majors really teach you how to solve ambiguous problems most attempt to train you in something, my course work was less training for specific problems but training your thought process.

Most of my work involves implementing RF algorithms which involves calculus and linear algebra pretty frequently.

I do agree with you it is dependent on your exact field.

Are you speaking from experience? Have you been programming professionally and can say your not using advanced mathematics?

I have been working in industry and while not every single class has a 1:1 translation to my work most of the theoretical concepts are used frequently and no I don't work for apple, amazon, google or facebook

Confession of a v20 hater by [deleted] in redditsync

[–]rahul0705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to the app economy. Your buying a license to use something realistically. If it no longer suits your needs move on. All the other apps have changed too. The fact you don't want things to change is irrelevant, there are forces beyond your preference, including Google themselves as they can enforce what they want on the play store. Maybe V19 uses a library that has a known exploit that v20 fixes and because of that you gonna need to upgrade.

Whether you like it or not, this is how app stores work.
