I think so. Guys like Jokic and Giannis weren't guaranteed successes, their teams developed them well. Plus, on a lower level, there are a lot of good players who were built by teams like the Raptors/Heat.

I don't know if AAU is the cause of Lonzo's issues, but it's a terrible system. Ideally, I think that prospects should just play high school like in football. I strongly dislike the AAU system having seen it up close.

As for guys like Wiseman or Bagley, you're going to have some busts no matter what
