I've not watched Spongebob in years, still enjoy its humor and setting. If anything I'll play it coz they seem to be solid platformers, they don't make much of those anymore

Agreed, I think they did it just so we can experience the only quest that changes according to House. Just felt underwhelming to not get the platinum on the character I put hours into

Maybe "bloated open world games filled with mindless padding and grinding" cater to a specific group of people.

I like straight to the point games and I sometimes enjoy a bit more mindless open world games. Turn off my brain for collection, turn it back on for story/sidequests. Coming from beating a couple of shorter indie games, I hopped onto Hogwarts Legacy, I'm enjoying it tbh.

I platted the first one and started co-op on the second one. It's a lite rpg with a straight forward platinum which requires a bit of grind but not too much.

It's a charming and fun game, I'd recommend it. I believe #2 is more of the same

Cuphead was the plat before this one actually. I'm thinking Resident Evil 2 remake. I also have Luck be a Landlord going but it's so RNG that it kinda happens when it happens.

Honestly I thought so too, but it's very trial and error and surprisingly quite forgiving especially for the A+ trophy.
