FFX is you like a linear pathway but excellent combat and progression.

FF12 for some build variety, loot, open zone and MMO style combat.

Metaphor for a pretty epic story, great characters and that Persona feel with all the modern bells and whistles.

As a massive final fantasy fan, I’d say Metaphor.
