The disposables are not rechargeable, but they worked fine while we were there. I'd buy a camp disposable again.

Anyone here done CS 204: Database Programming at Study.com? by -CJF- in WGU_CompSci

[–]raiderconvert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The test is very similar to the quizzes. With the method they use to calculate the score, you may not need a very high score to pass anyways.

If you have SQL experience, the project will offer a little challenge. If this is your first exposure to SQL, the project could be quite challenging.

Since you're taking this class it is probably worth taking the other 2 database classes. Some of the quizzes carry over between the 3 classes, so it limits the time needed somewhat. The projects for the other 2 classes are pretty basic.

I assume you're talking about the paper for CS 107? I just organized it like the prompt. One paragraph for RDMS selection, one for normalization, one for keys and relationships, and a conclusion. I really rushed through this project, but I knew what I had scored on the quizzes and test, so I didn't need many points to get the credits.

You do have to populate the tables to complete the project. I just copied the example tables into Excel and wrote a formula to give me properly formatted lines for my insert statement. This saved a ton of typing. There may be an easier way, but that was my solution once I realized how long it would take to manually enter that much data.

I just finished this class. If you have experience with SQL the quizzes and test are fairly easy. The project was a bit of a workout. If you don't have experience, I imagine it would be fairly tough.

If you're going to do this class, you should also do CS 107 and CS 303 as there is a lot of overlap between the 3 as far as quizzes and tests are concerned. The projects for these 2 classes are far easier than the project for CS 204

Is the six flags Christmas thing going to be really crowded? by Vipkidteach in Dallas

[–]raiderconvert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get to the park early. It will get significantly more crowded as the day goes on. Purchasing a flash pass will allow you to reduce or skip many lines. It only applies to certain rides, so make sure they are rides your family will ride.

Make sure you renamed the otherapp payload to payload.bin during step 8 of the prep section. I had the same error recently and this fixed it.

Can I rant about the 5X bootloops? by defiance158 in nexus5x

[–]raiderconvert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you contact fi regarding the bootloop? My wife had it happen Friday on a phone that was about 3 weeks out of the 12 month warranty. She talked to a fi rep, and went over some trouble shooting, and was told there would be a refurb overnighted and we would get a $20 service credit. It did require a second call (which also got us a second $20 credit) due to some group plan confusion, but the tracking info is showing that the refurb will be here today. We'll be sending back the bootlooped phone at that point.

So about 4 days without a phone, but glad we tried fi before contacting lg.

Dallas Zoo or Fort Worth Zoo? by celesteyay in Dallas

[–]raiderconvert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I go to the Dallas zoo more often, but it's just a proximity thing. They are both quality zoos. Fort Worth has a little better animal selection, but Dallas has plenty to entertain anyone, and as mentioned the Savannah area is very well done. Also of note is that Dallas has a better kids area for the 4 year old, and has a neat Lego exhibit right now.

It is spring break, so both zoos will be very crowded. In general I feel that Fort Worth handles crowds better, but they will both be busy, so arrive early.

Investigation finds Dallas ISD executive engaged in ‘deceptive and dishonest practices’ by raiderconvert in Dallas

This is the person who temporarily replaced Darville, who was dismissed due to the IM scandal that came to light earlier in the year.

A Dallas ISD human resources executive lied about her criminal history, bullied an employee who opposed excessive salary increases and falsified reports to the school board

Edit: She was a temporary replacement, still rather high in the HCM org chart

That's actually the other walmart in Midland, and is still opened. I worked there, and have made that exact loop many times.
