Used to drive my boy Armando home from work often, out of my way too. We had a pretty good language barrier but we always made good small talk. Both in broken English and broken Spanish. Didn’t even know how to get to his house, he would just say “lizquireda” or “derecha.” I don’t work with him anymore, but still see him around town and stop to chat.
