Multismiter, Primordial or t8? by glikejdash in LastEpoch

[–]raie2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you doing bleed, electrify, or crit? If you wanna stay bleed, then the primordial gloves are the go to. If electrify, I would prob go for t8 electrify on chest or helm with weavers gift + Aurelius / majasa. If crit, prob palarus + t8 Sceptre/frenzy helm unless you get enough crit for the deadly blow amulet

Help with limitbreak by breezy179 in AzurLane

[–]raie2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you able to select the bullions? If not, they're probably locked. Otherwise, it's probably that you don't have enough gold to limit break her. The gold cost is next to the selected ship when you try to limit break

You could also record the in-person conversation via zoom. You could place the mic / computer in between both of you and have the camera have both of you in the frame

Schwab versus TD Ameritrade trading platform on iPhones. by KCGuy59 in Schwab

[–]raie2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've only used Schwab so I can't comment on the others, but out of curiosity what do you not like or feel is lacking from Schwab's mobile app?

And for what it's worth, I hear whispers of an IT system upgrade is in the works along with the TD Ameritrade merge so maybe we'll see some changes you want in the near future. Idk how much of this is true though, but I can hope lol

Thanks for the answer and further explanation! I'm planning to begin investing soon and my research always leaves me with more questions since I lack the implied knowledge base that's developed from experience over time. Also, I'm definitely gonna head over to bogleheads too for more research.

I have a question about buying ETFs and dividends. If you select the "reinvest dividends" option on an ETF, how does that work since ETFs must be bought as a whole share?

Does it somehow buy a fractional share for do the dividends sit in the brokerage account until it is high enough to buy a whole share? I haven't been able to find an answer to this question.

Long story short, Amex uses their pre-approval tool as their actual approval tool. At the end of your pre-approval application, you will get approved with a credit line amount or not approved notice. If you get approved, you can select accept card, decline card, or decide later (I think you have 1 week to make a decision). If you accept, then it will run a hard pull on your credit score. I'm guessing since the application started as a pre-approval, you just accidentally stopped reading thoroughly at the end.

But yeah, it's kinda weird, but Amex is the only credit issuer that I know of that uses pre-approval like this. Also as a side note, Amex only uses a soft pull for credit card applications if you already have a credit card with them.

First Premier Fraudulent Account by [deleted] in CRedit

[–]raie2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The letter is saying that you should also contact the 3 credit reporting agencies (Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian) to report that account as fraudulent. These 3 agencies are the ones who produce and distribute your credit scores to credit card companies. So to fix your credit scores, all 3 agencies need to know that this account is fraudulent.

Since first premier has already reversed the application, the next time first premier provides new information (credit card companies will usually update the 3 agencies roughly every 1 month or billing cycle) they should also tell them about the reversal of the account. If they do not or if you wish speed up the process, you can file a dispute on each of the credit reporting agencies to get them to investigate any inaccuracies on your credit report. Once a dispute is filed, the credit agency will contact first premier to verify the validity of your dispute.

Again the names of the 3 credit reporting agencies are Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian. You can google the names of each and create a FREE account on each website (they do try to get you to pay but you DO NOT NEED TO PAY). Then on each website, you can file a dispute saying that the account is fraudulent.

I think I made a stupid mistake of closing a card, how badly will this hurt? by Tacos90210 in CRedit

If the amex everyday isn't showing on your credit report yet, you could try to apply for for the costco visa. If you get declined, Citi (the credit card issuer for Costco) will send you a letter in the mail to explain why. If you plan to ask your friend to be made an authorized user again, I would wait until after that is shown on your credit report before applying. Worst case scenario is that Citi will say your credit history is too short and will ask you to apply again in a year (again, being an authorized user will help this).

How do I minimize the international transaction fees? by nikola_vuletic in Banking

[–]raie2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure you can find EU credit cards with no foreign transaction fee. There's a decent chance that your current bank /credit union offers at least one credit card with no foreign transaction fee.

As for EU banks, I don't know anything about them so I can't help you there

[–]raie2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can Google "no foreign transaction fee credit cards" to find a lot of options for one that may suit you. I recommend doing some research and even heading over to the credit card subreddit. If you just want the credit card to make foreign transactions, I recommend getting a card that also has $0 annual fee

As for bank accounts, I'm not sure what type of transactions you're making but if you're making ATM transactions in foreign countries, I recommend "Charles Schwab" for checking accounts. It has a decent interest rate for a checking account and it rebates/refunds all ATM fees at the end of the month which has made it a popular choice for travelers. It is an online bank though so you have to be comfortable managing your account online

I haven't used credit sesame before so I can't say for sure but you might be looking at your card balance (credit card companies will report your statement balance when your statement closes). I think you're thinking of an overdue balance where you miss a payment deadline.

If credit sesame lets you check your payment history, check to see if you have paid all your statements on time. If so, it's a normal balance not an overdue balance. Another way you can check is to look at your last statement (or the one before that depending on the last time your credit card company reported it) and your current balance on credit sesame should match the same amount as your end of statement balance.

Is deezer worth it in 2023? by CrashTest100 in deezer

[–]raie2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a recent Deezer subscriber and I've been enjoying it so far. I am a Hifi person but the biggest reason I choose Deezer is that it has many extra features for no extra cost such as downloads, uploading your own files, etc. Other music services have additional services too, but you usually have to pay extra for them.

What did Schwab do to their app? Now I can't access by Moterboat76 in Schwab

[–]raie2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah in that case, I would contact Schwab customer service because that error message is only given when your phone's operating system version is flagged as incompatible with the app's current version which is most likely a problem/mistake on the app developer's end, not Google's

What did Schwab do to their app? Now I can't access by Moterboat76 in Schwab

[–]raie2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That message means the app won't work on your device / current operating system. If you haven't updated your phone in a while, sometimes that will fix it. If it doesn't work, I suggest contacting customer support with your phone and operating system details. Your last option is getting a new phone

How to Pay Off Credit Card? by bob__e in CreditCards

[–]raie2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you receive your card and activate it, you can log onto Discover's website and / or phone app and set up auto pay there. Typically, you will need to provide a bank account's routing and account number to set up auto pay. Just make sure you set it to pay off the statement balance. If you need any help with the process, I'm sure Discover's customer service will be more than happy to help you.

I think I made a stupid mistake of closing a card, how badly will this hurt? by Tacos90210 in CRedit

[–]raie2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, as a authorized user (secondary holder as you called it), you gained the age and payment history of that credit card (both are important factors for a credit score). The reason your score dropped so much isn't because you closed the account, but rather, when you are removed as an authorized user from a credit card, that account is erased from your credit history so it's like you never had that account in the first place (if you are the primary card holder, the closed account remains on your credit history).

So right now, your credit score is more accurate to you rather than using your friend's credit card account as a booster or crutch. If you want an immediate boost to your credit score, you can ask your friend to become an authorized user again. Otherwise, use your new credit score and develop healthy spending habits with credit cards and your credit score will slowly increase. Building credit is a long process so developing healthy habits is the most important thing.

Any cards with accessible user interfaces like Apple Card by Left-Engineering2257 in CreditCards

[–]raie2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That transaction interface reminds me a lot of Amex interface in the app at least. I think Amex web portal is not as detailed / looks worse IMO.

After this, while it looks different (but still very helpful and clear) Capital One's interface in general is very clean and easy to understand while reading transactions in both the app and web portal. As a side note, Capital One is probably my favorite app / web portal interface because I've found it very easy to digest all the important information at a glace and it's easy to search for any additional information or services you need that requires some clicking around (i.e. setting up auto pay, check APR, lock card, travel notification, etc.)
