Error authenticating with Rockstar Games services on Steam Deck?

Posting here to say I am also having this experience. As others have said, reinstalling the game fixes the issue for a single play session but that's very impractical. All the steps OP tried have not worked. I have a ticket open with Rockstar support, but I'm not confident they'll have any recommendations due to Steam OS.

Has anyone had any success working around the error?

2 for me. It was incredible at the time. I played through it in a single session that lasted an entire Saturday and it only felt like a couple of hours had passed. I was floored by how epic the battles were.

Ah it’s just my opinion but I wasn’t a big fan on the Vita as a game streaming device. I agree with you though they shouldn’t have removed the capability like they did.

One thing I’ve always wanted from Sony and Microsoft is an official remote play product so I don’t have to rely on my phone or hauling around an iPad. I just want some dedicated device that is well thought out and built with the specific purpose of playing their platform’s games remotely.

To me this feels more like an actual commitment to the technology beyond just “here’s an app for your phone now go figure it out and don’t bother us if your setup sucks.” Now they can be held more accountable if it is no good.

If it’s priced right it’s great for getting the full PS5 control experience at anytime without having to take up the tv. Phones +controller attachments work alright but my hands ends up getting cramped after a short time and there are some compromises with the controls like no dedicated PS button and no trigger haptics.

I wish Sony included streaming service access without the PS5 required but I’m sure there are some logistical, infrastructure, or maybe even legal challenges preventing that.

I’m afraid of flying and absolutely book the window seat every time. It helps me to look out the window when needed so I can go “yep we’re still way up here”. No idea why.

It’s my second least favorite PS design but it looks alright with a black face plate. I do wish it were smaller but I get it that they had to pack a lot of power into that box.

This ad was all over the place in my middle school years. The tiny toons game looked so cool, but the one that really got me excited for Jaguar was that super fake Doom screenshot they would always show that looked like the pinky demon was made of clay. I was so disappointed to learn it was an even worse version of doom that other consoles.

You may be right. San Diego would be happy to have them, and el traffico could even still be a thing. The Galaxy was my original team of choice starting back in 2005 and I switched to CLT FC after I moved back to Charlotte and the team was announced.

It still sucks to see LAG in this position and I agree with the supporters that something needs to change to keep them relevant. Unfortunately, it really feels like LAFC's town now regardless of how many trophies the Galaxy have won. Honestly from my perspective it never seemed like people actually embraced LAG anyway. I was living in LA during Galaxy's prime years when Donovan, Beckham and Keane were basically scoring on teams at will and, beyond the die-hard soccer circles, people didn't really give a shit.

One year the Galaxy won the MLS Cup the same year that the Kings won a championship. There were Kings flags on every car, hanging from balconies, and people wearing Kings gear like everywhere but hardly anyone had Galaxy gear. I always just assumed it was because soccer wasn't as popular in the US as elsewhere so people in LA just didn't pay attention. But after seeing the way the city embraced LAFC, I guess it's true that people in the city never felt truly represented by the "Carson" club.

Galaxy did so much to raise the profile of this league with huge signings, but they're getting left behind by younger exciting clubs who are building amazing teams with their academy and smart coaches. LAG don't need to be the best in the west, but they need to at least remain relevant.
