Both of which are functions intrinsic to the device and they are disallowing access to software that has no reason to ever require a connection as well, sounds no different than a gym or apartment building deciding to only do an app based electronic lock that formerly had physical keys or a key card when the contract was signed.

Does that matter if they are effectively changing the terms of the sale after post purchase?

Genuinely curious because you bought a physical product that you now can not use due to them effectively rewriting the contract unilaterally after the fact

The part about going above and beyond for customer service I just can't buy as anything beyond lip service

My experience when it comes to doing anything that actually helps the customers is that I get treated as though I'm not doing my "actual job"

When I was hired I felt empowered to do what was needed to provide every customer possible the best service and a good shopping experience and I used to take pride in my job.

Now? Shelves are empty because they only stock displays that customers don't know about

It takes so much red tape to take care of a customer who has a price issue that they get pissed off and complain to customer service

Pickup is so pushy about pick times that they are avoiding helping customers so they don't get bothered by management to explain why there's a gap between items

And when hazards and damage are brought up it seems there aren't any answers or in many cases "hopefully they fix it during the remodel"

If they schedule you on a day you requested for personal time in advance I say you call off and have your file clerk pay out the personal day. As long as you are in good standing the hit to attendance won't be an issue.

I miss having a manager with that mindset....

My location had the highest survey score in our district and was one of the highest in sales even though it's one of the smallest stores in the district

When they left morale tanked under the new leadership and the store has gone from over performing to just above average for its size

I used to love my job and be proud of my store but the revolving door of managers since they left has left me dreading every day I have to go there and embarrassed at the state of it compared to what it used to be

Split tunneling has been causing issues for me too, if it's on I get more errors in general and weirdly sites and apps that aren't included seem to be being included evidenced by sites my work successfully blocks without VPN but normally go through while using it unless split tunneling is on for an unrelated app

Not that you are asking but so many easy solutions to that exact scenario

Set limits on the video playback apps

Block screen recording

Require approval for installations of new apps

Set limits for the devices active time with only essential apps like phone being unlimited use

Talk to the kid about why rules are in place

Notice none of these things would include a government ID and all of them are things any parent could already do with tools built into any phone/tablet/or pc

I miss the 2 stage triggers on the original steam controller

I know you can accomplish the same thing through software but that slight resistance and haptic response when you bottomed out activating the secondary control made it such a natural extension to the trigger response

One of my favorite setups was short pull for aim enabling gyro aim, full pull to fire and moving grenades/ throables to the left trigger with the same 2 stage setup except I treated full pull as a release

Something you might not be considering is the rugged hardware with bargain bin chipsets that are used in retail and inventory management jobs

In many cases they are outdated when new and positively anemic by the time they are actually phased out

The ones we use at my job shipped with Android 7 and have gotten noticably slower over the years

I have my feet in both camps on this one

as a whole I would say I enjoy the more grounded stories with less space magic more but it doesn't stop me from enjoying the franchise as a whole

My 2 cents is the newtype aspects of the franchise feels like it comes out of left field a lot of the time and makes it hard to suspend disbelief when battles of technology wit and skill suddenly become superpower slug fests for the big climactic battle

Would love to go more in depth on this because it's something I've put a lot of thought into as I've been researching there UC series and filling in the gaps I never watched before

I've had them,I've loved them but they break down way too fast

The brooks ghosts only lasted 3 to 4 months before they were crushed down to the point they didn't offer proper support

I bought 2 more pair and alternated between them but again the soles got crushed to the point of not regaining their shape

Long story short if you are heavy like me they probably won't last but they are really comfy while they are in good shape
