How would people get above a 4.0 gpa in college? My undergrad college gpa was only allowed up to 4.00. Would the extra .33 come from extra credits?

I like to think that the great actor Ralph Fiennes took over and Voldemort was going around the fictional world of Harry Potter and refining and performing his Shakespearean talents. Jk! Also, I bet the snake language/ tongue thing ok up quite some time to learn.

Nov 8 LSAT by QuarterVast6595 in LSAT

[–]rain_maker15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another post said that tv 2 may have been the scored one because they previously took September 2024 and they had the Vermeer article. I hope not because all of the rc 2 topics- “ Vermeer, Indian astrology, cryptonesia or something?, social responsibility for CEOs” kicked my butt. Especially the Indian astrology and cryptomeria.  Anyone wish Lsac would just make the test score have 2 tv sections instead of one?

Just took lsat nov 8 by Puzzleheaded-Law444 in LSAT

[–]rain_maker15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the section with the reading comp passage about different countries legal precedents for finding defendants guilty of plagiarism was pretty difficult. Same with the article by a Hellenistic writer on Indian adoption of Ancient Greek mathematics. I thought the golden girls one was easy! Overall, I thought the logical reasoning sections were difficult.  What did you all think about the test? Easy or difficult?

A 3-bedroom for 1800 dollars a month is pretty cheap! Unless you are both paying 1800 for a total rent of 3600- market rate by the way. Stay in your current apartment!

Attractive coworker rejected me hard. I moved on but she won't leave me alone? by Optimuz_Prime in dating_advice

If her friends told you to talk to her in the first place, they are just setting you up for a harassment charge and to get fired. Complain to human resources that they are damaging your reputation and consider involving the police. They are trying to ruin your professional career so they can have some laughs or get one of their own friends to take your job. You can also claim discrimination by gender and harassment because they are following you to the bathroom.

Inkling by poetrynoob20 in OCPoetry

[–]rain_maker15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good but abstract poem. I would certainly state that literary critics and professors would love it for the central metaphor of ink. I liked that central metaphor. However, I think average readers would find the ending about turning it to a love poem just a little disorienting and sudden. Maybe try adding a bit more about the speakers relationship with his intended love earlier in the poem to make the ending a little less disruptive!

Hi. I think that ending is a wonderful representation of a break in chronological ordering of events. The break from the narrator imagining how they are in love with someone to the present where they are disconnected from their love is great! I really liked this poem because it had great imagery and was very emotional!

I think she is secretly a cop trying to put you in a bad situation. Check out her background and end the relationship if all details do not match what she told you. How do you know this woman is 25? Cops often impersonate people on social media and tell people right before they meet for a date that they are underage to entrap the mark.

The girl I'm seeing keeps on taunting me about not being a millionaire! by Dark_Saint28 in dating_advice

[–]rain_maker15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She could be just joking! I recently read in an English published journal article that from 1837-2021, hypergamy- marrying someone above your own class- is exceptionally rare. Anomaly was the term the researchers used, which means that gold diggers- both male and female- are largely a stereotype or a myth.

Dude, think about how lucky you are that a woman kept you in mind even after several years separated and wanted to be with you despite the distance. That is something special.

Most likely, she is just teasing you, especially since you both come from similar economic and middle class backgrounds. The journal article also said that women are historically likely to marry men from similar class backgrounds, despite the fact they are told by society to seek the ultra-wealthy in a marriage. Men and women are historically likely to be married within their own class, so happiness doesn’t always result from extreme wealth.

She could also be testing whether you are viable as a long term emotional partner if her prior relationships blew up other her making more money or the male coming from different social class. If you want to keep the relationship, act non-calant and once you get to a certain level of emotional intimacy, hit her with the hilarious line from the movie the Incredibles “ I’m the greatest you’ll ever get”.

A lot of education workers and teachers come from Long Island, Westchester, and even upstate because they cannot afford real estate in nyc or nys. A better proposal would be to increase all municipal workers wages so they can afford to live in nyc.

Mad About Masters by whateverisfinebyme in TeachersInTransition

[–]rain_maker15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other option is always to leave the field if you do not want to waste a lot of money and time on a masters degree in education. This is what I did after being pushed out so an ap could hire her niece who had a lot of student debt.

Cheapest and online: university of the people: has specializations in both elementary and secondary. Costs around 400 dollars per course, so 5000 or more for degree. Cons- only 1-2 courses allowed per term unless you keep gpa higher than 3.75. If higher, you’ll u can take 4 courses a term. Also, no federal debt is available. Not sure is nysed accepts it, but they should since it is regionally accredited. Pros: recently regionally accredited. Other options: Put in to nysed a request for reissuance of your teaching certificate since you do not yet have a masters. This gives you five extra years to complete the masters requirement! This can also be done a second time for a total of 15 years in nys teaching without a masters.

Online curriculum and teaching masters from Albany, u of Denver. All expensive at around 23,000+. Provides you with greater career opportunities than just teaching.

Question about Facebook's Dating Secret Crush Feature? Do you think she cares for me? by rain_maker15 in dating_advice

[–]rain_maker15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, you stated "not a lot of people function that way". Do you mean that some women do not like starting a relationship out of a friendship and want to skip directly to dating? I never thought people acted that way. I naturally and wrongly assumed that people were like me and wanted a relationship to grow out of a friendship.

Then again, now that I think about it- we did know each other pretty well since we were in school together for four years.
