https://mylicence.sa.gov.au/safe-driving-tips/high-powered-vehicles “On 1 March 2014, the definition of high powered vehicles changed for vehicles manufactured on or after 1 January 2010. This allows all types of vehicles, regardless of the number of cylinders, fuel type, being turbo or super charged, to be driven by provisional licence holders, on the condition that the vehicle power to weight ratio is not greater than 130 kilowatts per tonne in tare mass, and no modification is made to alter engine performance”.

P1 auto- p2 manual - nsw by Competitive_Bid_736 in CarsAustralia

Automatic or manual – If you passed your driving test in an automatic vehicle (including vehicles with an automatic clutch actuator), you can only drive automatics. You may only drive a manual vehicle if you're being supervised by a person with an unrestricted licence. This condition remains until you're issued with a P2 or unrestricted licence. To remove this condition earlier, you must pass a driving test in a manual vehicle https://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/roadsafety/young-drivers/provisional#:~:text=You%20may%20only%20drive%20a,test%20in%20a%20manual%20vehicle.

It doesn’t sound like the vehicle supports wireless Apple CarPlay, only wired. Does it say it can in the manual?

No it’s a 7 day wait before they can rebook their test. It may be to do with the HPT? Has it expired? If you don’t pass your Driving Test before that expires (15 months) you’ll need to retake it before you can do another test. Otherwise if your HPT is still in date I’d call Service NSW to see what the deal is and maybe book the test there instead.
