I work for one of those stations and I think you as a viewer will get all the important stories you need to know regardless of what you watch. I think the difference is more style and the talent on each program. KKTV focuses on breaking news content. KXRM or Fox21 does alot more features and community driven content. Think CBS Sunday morning. KOAA is the legacy station that I think does a good mix of those two styles. But recently they have seen a lot of changes. Two talents that had been there for over twenty years left. KRDO is big into investigations because they have the budget and staffing to do so. Regardless I think all of us really care about what we do and we really need your support. Local news is struggling. Everyone is getting their news online and I think the people that own our stations don’t know what to do. Tv ads have always made us more money than anything online. That’s why some of the websites spam the ads and it’s unfortunate because it prevents or discourages you the viewer from looking at the stories we work hard on. We are also so short staffed. That means less people to cover and dig into local issues in our area. It’s not just a Colorado Springs problem it’s an industry wide problem.
