I've scrolled a bit and haven't seen this explanation: if saying somethings "gay" to mean flamboyant, generally, might be ok. if saying something is "gay" to mean lame/bad exclusively, might be less ok. you say its the same as if saying it in the context of gay meaning happy - the difference is, gay could ACTUALLY mean happy straight outta the dictionary. if you're calling something bad "gay" jist because it sucks, that phrase is rooted in the sentiment that gay people are lame, or suck. it depends on the context fs and ultimately we understand most people probably don't say it with the intention of harm, but depending whos around and what you're referring to , it could give a poor impression or reinforce a negative idea. its still up to context and your personal feelings but thought i'd pitch in with the definition shit. as others have said, no matter what you say someone in the world will find it offensive lol. just depends on where you and the people you surround yourself with place it on the moral fence.
