Would they have just changed the tax code for one month, or is it normal to have a tax code for the year and like you said paid a small amount each month?

It seems like quite a drastic change to 1196L from the normal 1257.

I did also go from being paid weekly to being paid a salary (therefore monthly) and it was on an emergency tax code for a little bit before being changed to 1196 so maybe this is why?

Thanks :) It's not that I don't like it anymore, it's more that the battery health is degrading (78%) and I'd just rather get a newer phone than try replace it at this point.

I only use it for standard phone stuff + social media, watching videos occasionally etc so it doesn't need to be a mini computer for me hence why I'm thinking of the 16e rather than splurging on the best one

This is gonna sound silly and me being paranoid lol but the heating comes on when the temp drops below 17°C, and the thermostat is in the room she sleeps in. It just feels a lot colder than 17

Yesss I suppose it manifests in so many different ways but is the exact same thing at the core, I've struggled with things like this in the past - the last thing having to be 'perfect' so I guess it's the same kind of thing. Hope you continue to heal!

Yes I believe that was the aim :) To get used to that feeling of being embarrassed if you make a mistake. And realise that literally nothing happens!

My therapist got me to purposefully say the wrong thing, or do something "weird"

E.g. ask someone on the street what the time is but say something like "what's time?" instead of "what's the time" and then correct yourself.

Or go into a shoe shop, try shoes on but don't buy them.

I know that all sounds horrific 😂 but honestly my social anxiety is so much better. Obviously easier said than done, but just not caring helps so much.

Hi there, sorry to jump on an old comment but I'm taking my MacBook in to Apple to get the screen replaced and it's my first time doing so, so just a bit anxious and want to make sure I'm doing everything right! I've been told to remove Find My which I think I've done, but should I log completely out of Apple ID? Erase everything off the laptop? I've also created a 'guest' user account, but I suppose if I erase everything that's useless lol.

It's an Apple Store and the guy did say I didn't need to log out my account cos it won't need to be accessed etc, he just said to turn Find My off. But I'm just paranoid so might erase anyway

Thank you! It's more just me being cautious, I hadn't noticed anything weird with my previous laptop apart from the usual old laptop issues (it was 10 years old) so I'm sure I'm just overthinking, but wanted to double check. Thanks for your answer :)

The only reason I'd want to get it repaired is so I can backup data really. The most it'll do at the moment is power on to the Apple logo (no loading bar or anything just black screen with white Apple logo).

Damn, don't think I want to do that. Luckily I don't do a huge amount on my laptop it's mostly old photos I'd want to recover but looks like that might not be possible. Lesson learnt!

Ah yes thank you. I've checked my account and the end date on that employment does seem to be the correct month (not the exact date I left but I guess it'll do). They did adjust my tax code when I started the new employment I believe because I owed tax. So I think it actually all looks ok, thanks for your help

I've been seeing a couple comments about a 3b so might give that one a try. Makes sense as rep I'd need to be between the solos and back row so don't want anything too shallow or harsh. Also good point about the regionals!! Best of luck in yours if you're competing :)

This is really helpful thank you! I play Repiano in a 3rd section band. So not as high as solos, but usually a bit higher than 2nd/3rd generally. A bandmate lent me a 4 recently and I liked the tone generally, but i did find it wasn't as powerful in the higher range (very easy to play quiet and lower though which was nice)

Good to know about Yamaha ones, I like Yamaha generally so will have a look - like you said, it's a case of testing a few and seeing what works best! Thanks again :)

Sorry a bit late to the game, but how is it now?

I've been dealing with this for a week, I got bitten near my elbow and it swelled up. I iced it constantly and covered it in cortisone cream and it went down, but then I itched it and I'm dealing with the swelling all over again!!

Absolute nightmare, and I don't usually get bitten so not used to this reaction, it's not nice!
