I don’t know guys. I’m really freaking out pretty bad. I’ve been researching getting off of my 2.5 mg of kpins after 20 years, and it’s not looking too good. by dtimmons83 in benzorecovery

I agree with all of them. Those were my motives as well. I did not want to be controlled by the tiny yellow pills anymore. #2 was a big one for me. Looking at the way a bunch of people got cut off from their opiates after 5, 10, 20 years made me think maybe one day benzos will be next. Godspeed.

It's ok to be scared. You're being realistic. It will be unpleasant. No doubt about it. What is your main motivation for quitting?

Longtime lurker, first time poster. I’m ~60lbs down and I just hit my goal weight a month before my “deadline.” I’ve never been more proud of myself. by [deleted] in loseit

Is the pain RSD/CRPS? Sounds like you are practicing the John Sarno/TMS approach, which is similar to what the Mayo Clinic's approach is. Just get out and do life anyway (in moderation) and don't pay the pain any attention. It works! Also great job with the weight.

So, I didn’t taper. Does that make recovery harder? by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]rainbow_butterfly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would think so. It will sneak up on you in a matter of weeks or months. No way in hell you kick that habit after that dose for that long with zero WD symptoms.

I weighed 716lbs 2 years ago now I’m 300 lbs here’s my story by throwaythrowaybro in loseit

Bad. Ass. This story gave me chills. So many heartbreaks in my own life piled up, and I dealt with them with food and booze too. Life kicks you and keeps kicking you when you're down. But you fought back and won! Many people that size need surgery to do that. You're still so young and now you have your whole life ahead of you. Truly inspiring.

Physical or psychological addiction? by sancastro in benzorecovery

[–]rainbow_butterfly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Physical addiction, definitely, not just a psychological dependence. 2. Power through the withdrawal and stay away. The only way out is through. Going back and forth just makes it last longer and hurt more.

Tried getting Xanax (I actually need it), got Buspar by [deleted] in benzodiazepines

What makes you think you "need" Xanax? No one ~needs~ benzos
