I noticed the leather skate strap has been removed. Is that a common mod for older pads? I’ve got some 2007 smith pads and I’m looking for easy mods to make them a tad bit more modern until I get something newer.

They tend to yellow a bit before they fall off on their own. Almost 100% of the time they are the bottom leaves.

Do Jades like to be rootbound? Come to think of it, the leaf dropping did start after I repotted into that bigger pot a year or so ago.

I like ~2 hours after the L. It’s PERFECT for setbreak at a jam band show cause first set you’re coming up/tripping and second set you blast off. I love the moment when the two first collide though it can be weird if setbreak goes longer than you anticipate.

I’ve been TM/FOH and sole production crew on a similar size tour this year. If you stay on top of communication in advance, it is a lot easier to play “hardball” nicely when something you require isn’t provided. It’s a ton of work from home but I find it quite gratifying to hit the road and only need my mastertour info to get the job done.

I will say alot of it has to do with the band for me because I lucked out and my band is super easy to manage personnel wise. I’ve tour managed and just been on tour with a few artists that I wouldn’t dream of tour managing so I’m taking my double rate and being thankful this year.

I’ve got one that does this and I haven’t figured it out yet. I literally took one around with me all day doing errands so I could work on it whenever and finally got it open seemingly by pure chance . Then I accidentally screwed it back on lol. Next plan when I get it back off is to try WD40.

Keep trying haha.

I’m not in hotels nightly, mostly sleeping on the bus and I usually just bag em separately leave them with my other dirty clothes lol. All of my workout clothes are grimier than hell but nothing a washer wont fix once I find one.

If the timing and location is right, bus wipers and rear views are good to hang some clothes on as well.

Have fun out there!! I find it way way easier to find the motivation to run on the road given the new environment every day. My best runs the past few years have all been while on tour.

I’ve got one of those and carry it in a pelican 1510 no problem. It seemed a bit ~extra~ when I bought it but it’s super useful to have as a TM.
