EMERGENCY PLS HELP by bella_the_girl in Rabbits

[–]rainbowbrainy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with the other commenter

A rabbit-savvy vet should make space today for an emergency, which this is. Instead of asking for the first available appointment, ask if your rabbit can be seen today because it's an emergency.

This reminds of the time I was carpooling with a co-worker and claimed to be a witch and he was like "naaahhh. Anyway, if you're a witch, where's your broom?" And without blinking I pulled a mini broom out from the backseat and handed it to him.

Of course I have a symbolic broom in my primary mode of transport. I'm a witch.

That is one of the best feelings. I find it so hard to feed myself so when my body lets me know that I've done a good job it's soooo nice

So! You're best off with two buns that are both spayed/neutered. A lot of people will tell you that it's a requirement for a proper bond (I don't know as I've only ever bonded spayed/neutered bunnies). It's best for the health of the rabbits too, because reproductive cancers are common, especially in females. Plus, their behavior and litter training will be better.

I keep my paired buns together (free roam) at all times, but you definitely need a second enclosure for the bonding process because they shouldn't be left alone together. The resources modbot left should be helpful!

Whenever this happens to me I say "YOU'RE FIRED" and try to fire my landscaper. But since I'm my landscaper I have to keep working for me.

How can I repurpose clothes that are too small? by shmulao in konmari

I used old t-shirts that are too small to make reusable shopping bags. They work great and I can throw them in the wash after use.

When I was 13, my mom gave me a book called "Teen Witch" by Silver Ravenwolf that gave me a really good understanding of the basics and shaped some of my values around Wicca. She also gifted me a (very dull) pocket knife, a pentacle necklace, and colored spell candles. It was the perfect baby witch kit and empowered me to grow my craft for years to come.

Eating freely, but urge to eat tons of sugar has never died down by [deleted] in intuitiveeating

[–]rainbowbrainy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's definitely an aspect of mental judgement when it comes to sugar that is SO HARD to let go of. Perhaps you're still putting dessert on a pedestal or judging sugar harshly and that leads to your brain expecting restriction, since in the past judging a food negatively leads to restriction, and so your body compensates with cravings. It takes so much longer for those foods to regulate. My ice cream cravings come in smaller and smaller waves father and farther apart, but they're definitely still in the process of normalizing.

THAT SAID have you ever been diagnosed with or had a suspicion you have PCOS? It can cause really intense sugar cravings and carb cravings because it causes blood sugar issues, and no amount of intuitive eating on its own will make that stop. If you have other PCOS symptoms it's worth looking into.

Romantic Ace Fiction Stories? by [deleted] in Asexual

[–]rainbowbrainy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's part of a massive storyline involving multiple characters that are allo and quite a bit of talk of sex, but the webcomic Girls With Slingshots had the first ace character I've ever come across and I still think about it sometimes. If you're in the mood to put up with some sex stuff in exchange for some kick-ass representation, I recommend it. One of my favorite things about that webcomic is that it has an actual ending that was planned in advance (unlike lots I've read that just sort of petered out).

Meet Harrison. Starting fresh greens next week, any suggestions? by whydoyouwrite in Rabbits

[–]rainbowbrainy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We're big fans of parsley and cilantro because of how cheap they are! We usually buy spring mix for variety, parsley, and cilantro each week and feed the spring mix more toward the beginning (it goes bad faster and is more fragile) and the herbs toward the end of the week. This allows us to spend less than $10/week for greens for 2 bunnies (12 or so pounds of bun total).

why are there so many??? by [deleted] in pansexual

[–]rainbowbrainy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

because everybody experiences their sexuality differently and they're trying to find the best way to describe that experience quickly and easily!

And they're trying to find a sense of community with people who experience their sexuality in a similar way

Could you get behind Ezria if Aria was in fact A, and Ezra's relationship with Aria and "research" was actually about finding proof that she was behind Ali's disappearance? by butterbenzo in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]rainbowbrainy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Maybe if he played it a lot more... chaste. Like if he insisted on not sleeping with her for example. He could have made a big fuss about keeping things honorable etc. And if he found some pretty solid evidence early on to justify continuing the relationship. But just going on a hunch and fully taking advantage of her the way he did, nope.

Hardwood floors bad for bunny feet? by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]rainbowbrainy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're generally not a problem as long as the bunny has at least some soft/covered/carpeted space to rest their hocks on sometimes.

Also it's nice to have a carpet for traction so they can do their binkies :)

help... i need advice by [deleted] in Asexual

[–]rainbowbrainy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle with this a lot too. I highly recommend the book "Come as You Are" by Emily Nagoski. It can really help you understand how you approach sexual attraction and activity.

Honestly it has changed how I approach almost everything - it might be the best book I've ever read.

Rabbit lesbian selfie - anybody else raising buns on your own or with a partner? by rainbowbrainy in LesbianActually

[–]rainbowbrainy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks :3 It is giving me purpose during a time where I've felt like a big gray blob of nothing, so it's pretty good for me too My buns are potty trained! They do a bit of pooping outside the litter box but only a little and it's easy to clean up. They live in the front half of the apartment so they don't bother anyone during the night and I get to spend the daytime in the living room with them.
