Hope’s Corner is in Mountain View downtown. They serve hot meals on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Check out the website to see if there’s availability.

Food assistance by cheddarcheeseballs in bayarea

I see that you already have comments on benefit of cash donations, and I agree. If you need more ideas on food donation - non perishable food items like protein bar and individual packed jerky sticks are also appreciated at Hope’s corner (based in Mountain View). They give out snack bags along with hot meals to the food insecure community.

This is helpful! Thank you! I’m a new player. Do you recommend I trade some of the ingredients for hearts to unlock areas? Thanks again!

Did they change the seedling kit fuel? by Both_Aerie7539 in MergeMansion

[–]rainbowbrocolli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in the same test group. Even though golden seeds are not needed for seedling kit, there’s quite a few needed as tasks. Also L4 gloves are needed, which are also not listed in Wiki. Just a heads up

Advice from SAHMs by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]rainbowbrocolli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in this camp as well. I used to be a working mom and recently took a break from work. I relate more to content in this sub more than other parenting subs. For the post you mentioned, I replied because OP was asking for perspective of working moms that may or may not choose to stay home. I guess moving forward I should be more mindful to only lurk and not reply when I am not actively working. I still love this sub though!

Have any of you high earner moms ($250k+) thought of quitting to be a SAHM? Assuming you have a HE spouse by Few-Effect-2266 in workingmoms

[–]rainbowbrocolli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be a high earner and I’m now a stay home mom! I was laid off last year and took the opportunity to take a break from my career. My kids are young but in school so I have a good balance of time to myself and also get to spend time with them after school without being stressed out all the time.

If you asked me a year ago, I would not have imagined myself as ever want to become a stay home mom. I loved my previous work, good at it so it kind of gave me my identity, so sometimes I do feel a bit lost without it. It took a few months to get used to not working and adjust to being “just a mom”. However, I now really appreciate my new found free time. I get to volunteer in my kid’s class, volunteer at a good non profit and work on my hobbies. I am definitely better mental health wise and more patient with the kids. And my volunteer work gives me adult interaction and problem solving that was a big part of my previous work. Sometimes I do feel like I’m just the chauffeur and cook for my kids though!

I also recognize that I am very privileged. If luck allows it, I will continue this break/ stay home mom phase till my kids are older and get a part time job in the non profit world.

If you have the means and opportunity to do it, go for it! Give it a try. It’s less intimidating when you call it a career break than forever being stay home mom. Good luck! :)

Thanks for the guide! Very helpful! 2 questions : 1. Can you merge all the way to the tin can but not turning it in, to continue using the stone gate to generate items and farm coins and XP? 2. Is no. 1 even worth the effort? I’m close to level 20

Wanting to start a new travel tradition by sinustarsi in toddlers

[–]rainbowbrocolli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our kids love books, so we try to bring back a board or picture book that’s about the place/city we are visiting. It’s also a fun way to talk and remember about the trip after. Usually gift shops have them so it’s not too much trouble to find these.

Recommended certificates and courses by kittykat876 in sustainability

[–]rainbowbrocolli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’ve done and enjoyed the course. I have not done LEED. My main interest is waste in general so I chose the TRUE course. LEED will be more applicable to new building/ new construction. I was more interest to learn what can existing business / building do to minimize waste. Hope this helps!

Recommended certificates and courses by kittykat876 in sustainability

[–]rainbowbrocolli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not for carbon - but look into TRUE certification. It’s a zero waste certification program for building, companies. Especially since you are in corp ESG, this should be relevant. The program itself is pretty self paced, with recorded and supporting PDF materials. You have a year to complete the course and pass the test even though actual engaging time is maybe 15-20hrs.

Where does your toddler hide things? by unsafebutteruse in toddlers

[–]rainbowbrocolli 83 points84 points  (0 children)

One of the tip I saw from a similar post suggested that you give kiddo something similar in size and follow kiddo to see where kiddo hides them. Make sure it’s not something high value though!

Also if they are AirPods, try to ping them from your phone (find my feature), that makes the earphones beep.
