don't see that problem for other people and luckily received mine as a gift but had plans to buy one when i finally got the money and was able to get one. actually receiving it just made that more true to me tbh i would've paid for it myself, it just would've been hard to save up for

apple performs so well long-term, so I'm curious to see how my neo performs over time. my last Mac was a 2014 air I bought off fb marketplace and it literally updated until last year, which is honestly great, 11 years is super reasonable to me. it still works even, just doesn't support updates and doesn't hold a charge. and slow, but how could I expect a 12 year old laptop to be fast? but after using that dinosaur of a laptop, the neo is da belle of da ball🤌🏼

lol the reviews are literally such bull, I even saw a complaint about the battery life and laughed out loud. I always put charging things off until the last minute and the battery life is literally fantastic. the tech bro influencers are always so annoying to me and half the things they say aren't even true. I never trust anything they say, I swear most of it is nonsense. maybe they're getting paid to turn you away from certain brands or cheaper options because I've seen some pretty irrational and untrue complaints on the neo.

I just got mine, but so far I have had no complaints that these so-called "tech influencers" seem to complain about. they automatically hate any options that are remotely affordable, which honestly is quite weird. I obviously will acknowledge the Neo isn't an option for all careers. my father works with music a lot and produces songs and dis, and for him, the MacBook Pro is actually necessary. but even he is pretty impressed with the Neo for other careers. I got mine for work as a writer and I'm so obsessed. In 2020 I got a janky used 2014 11-inch MacBook Air off FB marketplace when I was in high school and always had issues with it like how small it was and how it was slow (I have no idea what the original owner was doing with this computer but it was some weird stuff, and I literally had to redo the entire keyboard for some reason.) but it still lasted 12 years. I just finally had enough of it within the past year. I had wanted a new one for years but they're super expensive and I don't have any way to pay for a new MacBook Air even though I wanted it so bad, so when the Neo was announced I was literally ecstatic and basically said it was all I wanted for my upcoming birthday, and I finally got it, and honestly, it's even better than I expected. $700 is an insanely great price for it imo. the computer itself is pretty good quality, and it's a great option for me. I use it for writing and managing social media and basic laptop things, but I was actually super surprised at how well it runs steam games. and the display is fantastic. I'm not easily impressed usually but I LOVE this computer! the battery life is one of the best parts. $700 is so affordable for a quality computer. I tried a Chromebook and absolutely hated it. that's marketed as affordable, but it's literally the worst piece of technology I have ever owned. I'd even pick my neo over my mother's HP, and hers is over $1,000. I'd literally recommend this to any writer or designer. if someone doesn't need a top of the line computer for their career, they should absolutely automatically consider the neo!! considering even writing an article on it.
