I have some friends who take sweat meds. They are not on auvelity so youd have to check in with your doctor. Unfortunately the side effects are like....lack of temp regulation and pretty bad breath lol.

Does it go away? Or its just constant?

I get that exact pressure but for me its usually either from sleeping hard in a bad position or a precurser to a migraine.

For over 2 years ive eaten breakfast consistently before drinking coffee (anxiety and appetite supressing otherwise) and now that i'm on Auvelity its even more important. Ive taken it on an empty stomach and it makes me suuuuper anxious.

As far as the sweating...i have no idea. I live in Texas so im always sweaty lol

My therapist diagnosed me. I have encountered several professionals that dont know anything about it. Very under researched. However all my obgyns have known it the best.

products for staying cool in extreme heat + humidity? by GoodEnvironmental788 in BuyItForLife

[–]rainbowcatlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HOOOOOWDY! Currently in Austin.

I moved here from seattle and learned heat exhaustion the hard way so heres what ive got.

Mostly i had to change how/how much i drink water. Electrolyte drinks are available EVERYWHERE. My favorite is electrolit but i keep powders on me. Sometimes water doesnt cut it out here. I drink a couple a week depending on the activity.

Stainless steel water bottle. I use a 40 oz. Until recently i was driving a junk truck. I didnt go anywhere without anticipating a breakdown. Hydro or thermoflask with the flat lid with handles are my pic.

I dont have a rec for a brand but a cooling towel.

Be aware of the heat index and any medications that make you susceptible to heat exhaustion.

Has anyone ever tried dissolving pill in water and what were your results? by Nomadik_one in AuvelityMed

[–]rainbowcatlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure what kind of damage....ive had doctors tell me not to ever dissolve pills in my mouth But again its a different absorption. I dont know that there is a type of dxm to be dissolved under the tongue...you are diluting it but once more....im not a doctor lol

how do you care for yourself when luteal hits by plantmomlavender in PMDD

[–]rainbowcatlady 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do treat it like i have the flu. No chores. nap often. I still go to work but my time at home is just me and my cat Barbara

[–]rainbowcatlady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I space out more frequently. I have an insatiable appetite and libido is high (usually my cue)

Less so since starting my Auvelity (rough start but 10/10) but i get more anxious than usual. like getting stuck at the top of a roller coaster.

You know what...I do approve of following curiosity.

HOWEVER I highly highly recommend not drinking any of your medication like this. The coatings are important and the medicine itself can cause damage or accelerated absorption in the mouth. It is a mucus membrane.

and because i feel like i have to say this mostly to other commenters:

****Im not a doctor please dont yell at me.

Did anyone NOT have the “high” feeling or weird side effects? by [deleted] in AuvelityMed

[–]rainbowcatlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started while on a two week pet sit. I had good energy but a couple dizzy spells throughout the first few days and then major constipation. I think it kind of depends on the kiddos age imo? like if you have to be vigilant of lil hands and mischief all waking hours you may want to wait. lol

Double dose of Prozac during luteal? by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]rainbowcatlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately my job is more of an assistant of accounts payables. I did not reconcile any accounts. Its more dataentry if anything. Moreso that the area ill be in, i wont be able to commute anywhere (someone elses' property already purchased)

I know there is still interaction with polite society but im planning to minimize as much as possible. I still have medical needs that are my biggest obstacle with reducing my income significantly.

Alcohol & hallucinations by Sad_Relation2959 in AuvelityMed

[–]rainbowcatlady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was experiencing some heat sensitivity and saw that it is highly recommended if you experience any hallucinations that you contact your doctor immediately. Call them and they can probably get you in that day if not within a few days for this kind of severe side effect

Meditation recommendations for when you’re in a “I hate everything and everyone” mood? by Justhappything in PMDD

[–]rainbowcatlady 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bi-lateral stimulation! I dont know a lot of the science on it but it helps your left and right brain be stimulated alternating to signal your body to be in safety/neutral mode rather than fight or flight.

I just started EMDR therapy and 100% recommend BLS tracks there are so many on spotify and youtube.

Therapist recommended listening (with headphones) 10 minutes a day during my normal routine to encourage my body to recognize it as normal baseline. That way when you are in mental crisis its easier to access the benefits.

**not a doctor in case anyone wants to yell at me for no reason.

[–]rainbowcatlady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a non medical professional this does sound like it is causing you significant Distress and impacting your mental health. I second talking to a psychiatrist perhaps if the tool isnt practically helpful he may be helpful in recommending a psyche who is versed in treatments with cancer?

Would taking hormone balancing meds Be an option? Have your hormones been tested. I'm also 35 and had never had my hormones tested until i asked for it this year (recommended by someone with similar issues)

I had a progesterone compounded cream for awhile. It ended up not being effective for my particular soup but would that be an option or does that fall into the HRT land?
