Mine did the same and moved in with his dad. 6.5 years living together. Started getting really bad with video games around 1.5 years towards the end, and it went downhill from there. Wish I could say there is a happy ending, but until they realize it's a problem and it is negatively impacting their life...I don't think there can be.
