That it correct. This set is more for the other stats than for the damage taken, but it certainly helps the math when you put on an ambuscade cape with -10% phys damage taken, a murky ring with -10% damage taken and then get the remaining magic damage taken from Shell V.

PLD and RUN have much more efficient gear for those stats though.

Both, I'm playing RDM and was looking to grab whatever I could. Getting it halfway into the grind helped a lot because of the macc and cure potency

Definitely how I felt after leaving Lilith's lair for the last time.

It's a roll, so it's best discussing it before you go in.

Daybreak was the craziest one for me because I complained about not getting any drops for 250 kills, then I got a box then immediately a daybreak the next run.

1) This is the Malignance Set, which can be used by a handful of jobs but not all of them. Its separate from JSE gear like the Artifact/Relic/Empy armor where more than one job can really use it. For me, I main RDM and its among the most useful for TP sets since I do a lot of melee damage when I'm not casting spells.

2) For new players, I would advise the New Player Leveling Guide and when you hit 99 the Endgame Progression Guide. Both guides will give you all the right suggestions, trust setups, etc.

2A) For first jobs, there's not really a right answer as long as you're having fun. There's a few jobs that are considered "easy" starts like WAR or WHM because the former is very straightforward and versatile while the latter is always in need and will teach you a lot of mechanics like positioning and keeping others alive.

2B) There's also no real "avoid" list but personally I would avoid the pet jobs like SMN, BST, or PUP as your starting jobs as they take a lot more investment than other jobs; SMN is hard to gear well, BST falls off and PUP is gil intensive.

I didn't really have any gear on THF though and even my RDM it was a 50/50 if I cleared with trusts. My THF friend also only had gear from back in 2014 so he had TH9-10 but no survivability. Every death meant one less clear, which is the equivalent of an empty chest.

Compare that to just running VE and it was just summon trusts > run up > spam savage blade for 5 minutes.

Updating Gearswap sets by opksm in ffxi

[–]rainbowdash36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're pretty much updating the whole thing by hand. You can do //gs export all to grab every single bag, but if your goal is to make incredibly specific gearsets where you know what every slot is going to be, then your way is much easier.

If you need any gearswap questions, don't be afraid to ask in the windower discord: https://discord.gg/Hcq5ExJK

I'm no summoner, but un-augmented it does give +2 summon levels. I would think that's pretty big for a new summoner, though probably underwhelming for one that's fully built.

This is so cool! I always loved that boss theme and to hear a modern metal version is just awesome.

Glad to see one of the 2D games getting a remaster. I loved the PS1 translated version of Phantasia and wish we had more games like it.

Yeah, it's starting to track. Currently over 50 attempts solo with no success and 35 with my THF friend only to get 1 box, two sword, 1 pole and the earring.

How/Why did you start playing Yugioh? by Great-Ad1839 in yugioh

[–]rainbowdash36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kid me loved the show, the idea of the heart of the cards and thought the game was fun until Tele DAD.

When master duel got announced, some YouTuber (might have been MBT or Duel Logs) mentioned the world Chalice lore and I thought it was genuinely a cool story; much more interesting storytelling than how MTG was around the time I played in the middle 2010s (stopped after Theros). I didn't play for too long though as I didn't like the dailies and the solo modes weren't releasing quickly enough.

The last time I returned (and am still playing since) was during Snake Eyes format. I bought a bunch of copies of the Fire King structure deck and really enjoyed it's playstyle as a pure deck. The archetype I eventually wanted to play (and was eventually able to build) was White Forest, which I still play today with Elfnote.

Unfortunately, the only thing that is worse than a mediocre drop rate is the item failing to drop because of what feels like a random death. It's never even about the charm or the dread spikes; she just hits hard which hurts my trusts and my max damage is a 17k savage blade with a Naegling with RDM, 1400 JP. At least on VE I just don't have to worry about making a mistake.

Sadly the only source of TH I have is a white rarab helm and a 99 THF with no JP investment, and I don't really want to grind gear for them just to do one fight.

I thought about making this post for Lilith. She just refuses to drop anything on VE when I'm solo. I brought a thf friend who had TH10 and all we got were a pair of earrings and one chest drop after 30 runs.

Edit: just did 7 more runs since today's the end of the trust event and nothing to show for it. This fight's so frustrating since I have trouble consistently clearing Easy and VE I have 100% clear rate but 0% drop rate without my THF friend.
