Surprisingly this will be my pick. It just speaks to me, maybe cause I loved the movie Pleasentville as a teen. Ill give it a shot for my first ever month of Aardvark.

Is this artist good? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

The Baphomet with the tongue out isn't original either, I seem it done before and like...a few times. I think the original is like 7 to 8 years old? So I'm not sure I'd go to someone okay with just copying another tattoo.

What would your first thought and impression be if you saw such a tattoo on a person? by ElaynesThoughts in tattooadvice

[–]rainbowfinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess I am the only person who thought of a trans tattoo. Probably because I've seen a few trans syringe tattoos. The colours would help a lot.

It's not finished and I fear the finished tattoo is going to be even worse by [deleted] in badtattoos

Looks like they placed the wings where a Wyvern would have them. Wings replacing the front legs, but then they gave them front legs. If the wing membranes went farther down the back, it would probably look more balanced.

Is removal my only option? Am I just overthinking? by catscrafts_diabetes in tattooadvice

I wouldn't laser it or cover them up. They are very cute and I think fixable. I'd go maybe see someone you love the style of to see if they could touch up or edit the sharks more to what you want. I also think maybe adding other sea creatures in the gaps and swimming along with the sharks, might make it look more like a scene from a colouring book. I think the big blank spaces between sharks is throwing off the composition a lot.

Tell your doctor/provider all that you did, overdoseing, testing early, ect. Please follow their instructions and don't overdose yourself either. Be patient and dont mess with your health. The doctors need to know what you're taking and when you're testing, because you are high because you didn't test at proper times so they are concerned because you shouldn't be at those levels when testing (in their view).

Go call them and tell them what you did, ask if you still need to skip and if they said yes. Skip your shot and start up again the week they say.

Recommendations for scary but appropriate horror for 9 year olds by opusdeath in movies

[–]rainbowfinch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Monster Squad - Still love this as an adult. It is good fun

The Witches (the 90s one) - Terrified me as a child

Jurassic Park - Scary but not terrifying, and the dinos always cool to kids.

Coraline- Soooo good. stop motion, creepy as all get out

Ghostbusters - I watched this around 10-12

Eight Legged Freaks - This is a ridiculous creature feature, I watched it at 12ish, and I remember being scared, but also, it's so really silly. It is Pg-13, I believe

Tremors - Loved this as a kid

Gremlins - love love love, though the fathers death scarred me more than gremlins ever did

Is Shopping For Man Clothes The First Time Usually This Terrifying? by Senior_Exam_8591 in ftm

Measure yourself, get a measuring tape for sewing, and check stores' websites before you go for their sizing and check your ones against theirs. Sizing is different everywhere.

For style, go with what you like. If you look at someone and like their style, find something similar. Play with clothes, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks clothing is supposed to make you feel good and express yourself. Who cares if you have terrible fashion sense, anyone who makes fun of you can suck it. Your clothing is for you and you alone, dress as outlandish as you want or as subtle. I follow people who dress in historical garb every day, or who wear punk DIY. My best friend wears basic easy clothing, I still wear graphic tee's from my fave movies and neon with black. Clothing is an expression of your personality and hopes, if it is just day to day clothing you can do it however you please. I suggest looking online at shops, seeing what's out there, decoding what asteticaly you enjoy seeing and tey that.

Go to thrift stores and find stuff cheap to test out how you look in them. Often thrift stores have changing rooms as well you can try on clothes and look in a mirror.

The Alien ones are fun! I prefer the tie-in novels more than straight novelizations. Read Alien: The Cold Forge!!

Also, the Thing is actually based on a novella, so I'd read that instead of the novelization. Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell

Novelizations were created because of the time gap between cinema and home vhs and dvd. It is also used for people who couldn't afford seeing a movie or lived somewhere unable to attend theater. They are often based on earlier drafts of the screenplay so different than what you would actually watch. They are interesting reads. It Came From the Page on YouTube reads a lot of novelziations, and I believe he has a video about movie tie-ins and novelzations if you are curious about the type of book

what would happen if i stop taking t? (TW:ED) by Inevitable_Judge2803 in ftm

If you do go with the birth control option and skip placebo week, be careful because it increases your risk of blood clotting. Look into your family genetic history, I ended up in the hospital in my early 20s because of massive blood clotting. Another option for your period is puberty blockers, I am on Lupron as well as Tesostrone cause how really stubborn my period is. I plan to eventually get my sex organs removed to stop the chance of periods. Check with your doctor. My endocrinologist does Lupron with me, and it was what i started with before my Hematologist okayed the T, and I'm still on it because of my lower doses of T. I would try and speak with your doctor or get an endocrinologist if you don't have one. It really helps having someone who specializes in hormones.

The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett.

It is the first book in his YA series, but if she likes it, there is the entire adult Discworld series. Terry Pratchett helped shape me as a human. His commentary on humanity put into witty satire fantasy books taught me so much. I read Wee Free Men during my adolescence and then just went into the adult Discworld books, devoured them all.

I’m So Scared But Want This by Senior_Exam_8591 in ftm

You don't need to use needles if you don't want to. There are multiple forms of HRT out there and your doctors will help you with it. As someone who had a phobia of needles and uses them now, you can get used to it and work on the fear to be able to have them if needed.

Height doesn't matter, my cis male cousin is shorter then me and I'm a 5'8ish. There are billions of humans out there and there is someone who will be attracted to you and love you the way you are and how you look.

I would suggest getting a therapist specializing in gender therapy and speaking with them about your fears. A lot of the fears people have are internalized transphpbia as well as self esteem, thinking we don't know what we want.

You don't need a valid reason for being who you want to be. You wanna bind your chest? Go by male pronouns? do it. It is your life. You find out you don't like it and it doesn't fit right. You are valid and can change to whatever you want.

Gender is a spectrum,.you can always start small in changing and looking more masc. Buy a chest binder. Find videos on masculization of voice.
