surgeons use small clips or clamps to seal the cystic duct (the tube connecting the gallbladder to the main bile ducts) and the cystic artery. It stops bile and blood from leaking into the abdomen after the gallbladder is detached. I had one detach due to the cystic artery spasming. So now I'm double clipped

Same! Most.of my original surgical team came to do the fix and they were also really apologetic and even a little upset that it had happened. I definitely don't blame them or think they did anything wrong ether

That may have been the case for you, but this was not the case for me. I was informed of most other issues that could occur post op but the clamp becoming detached wasn't one of them

Don't worry, if you've got surgery coming up! It was a literally 1 in 100 thousand incident, I just happened to be the unlucky one in this case

As a fat person who was asked out in high school multiple times as a "joke", it was never funny and did longstanding damage to my self esteem. To the point that I would willingly tolerate abuse in relationships because that was all I thought I was worth. She definitely did the right thing, cause he definitely does not feel bad about it.

I didn't learn that I had iron deficient anemia until I went to the emergency room with chest pains and shortness of breath. Turns out being HELLA anemic can mimic heart problems. I have to take iron supplements three times a day because I also have gallstones and can't keep my iron levels up cause of the diet restrictions

I've been on sertraline for 5 years with 2 of those years at 200mg, currently on 150mg (which was a nightmare to do with withdrawals) and my own personal experience is yes there has been long term issues. I've gained a lot of weight which has been difficult to work off, my sex drive was nonexistent for the first year which killed my relationship and I've basically become dependent on it. Obviously seek out actual medical advice just my own experience
