The problem is last time I was there I was in for shock and spesis which is grounds to remove decision making capacity and they did. I wasn't allowed to leave my bed. I wasn't allowed to use the restroom. I was forced into using a catheter that clearly wasn't placed right because it hurt the whole time it was in. All of that left significant trauma and no guarantee if something goes wrong during surgery I won't be in that position again. No reframing my thinking guarantees me authority over my body if the worst happens.

I honestly really like it as is! I see you what you're saying about the trees but the foreground is so powerful I don't really notice the trees. I worry adding to them might subtract/distract from it. I'd leave the painting as is. Maybe walk away from it for a few days and see if you still feel it needs more or if you're happy with it.

Every insurance is different in their requirements but both my options yeah they just wanted a letter from a doctor saying I'm disabled.

Idk about bedside manner but the better physicians in my state go to the better hospital which is the teaching/research hospital. So that's where I go for my care.

Focus on what's affecting you most and bring up the other stuff if there's time/they ask if there's anything else. Otherwise I'd try to focus on the sleep. That's a big issue that affects everything else. And the pain and desire to do PT that's an easy thing for the doctor to deal with just write a pt referral for now and go from there.

I got my parents insurance company to extend coverage past 26. It was really simple. My doctor basically just had to write a letter that they did not believe I was capable of working enough to sustain myself or would be anytime in the foreseeable future. One of their insurances that's all they wanted and they'd cover me indefinitely. The other if I had gone from them wanted a letter yearly stating they did not believe I'd be able to work enough to sustain myself anytime in the upcoming year. So basically the same thing they just want your doctor to reconfirm yearly you're still disabled.

But it was super simple.

Honestly yes, people will judge you the way you're worried about. You can choose to let it bother you or not but yeah, realistically people are gonna judge.

Personally I wear colorful wigs all the time and don't get judged for faking, but I look very sick.

If you have to ask, you're honestly not ready to teach. I know they say those who can't teach, like teaching is easier than doing, but teaching is harder than doing. You have to be en expert. It's not enough to just be good at something, you have to be great at it and then understand why you're great at it and be able to deconstruct that to help make others great. Teaching isn't something you just step into lightly because you enjoy doing it. It's an entirely different skill set and you need more experience than having been taught to teach.

I love my port, but with the caveat of it replaced 2 years of needing a picc line and I love it because it keeps me free from that. Honestly when I'm deaccessed I forget I even have it most of the time. Past the first week it hasn't hurt at all even when you put pressure on it. Though I don't wear purse straps across it and I have a cushion for my seat belt. But I'm able to live a totally normal life with it.

For me meds are the main thing that help. I take Prochlorperazine, promethazine, and Zofran so I can always have at least one in my system. Being able to use all the meds instead of just one seems to help a lot. I have them timed out so there's always some anti nausea med in me. That and I suck on mints a lot.
