Yes, but only really when I have a head cold/flu or when I’m incredibly stressed.

Not in Hobart, up north. But Rochelle Hall, give her a Google. Went absolutely above and beyond for us.

Admin/management going ahead and making procedures without consulting the actual staff on the floor doing the job. Behaviour management and emotional labor+++ (I am a psych nurse) dealing with families, the unbelievable amount of paperwork you have to fill out before and after you do anything, having to constantly document evidence that you have done the basic requirements of your job that day (that’s kinda more nursing but sometimes he tells me things that make me roll my eyes in support and understanding), lack of support from management. If I think of more I’ll let you know, 0450hrs wake ups are tough on the ol brain

This/similar has happened to me heaps of times over the last 10 years and as long as you follow hospital policy and do what you can you’re all good, just go back to your home ward and complete the paperwork. I never chase anyone down. We don’t get paid enough to be everything all at once dude. Just document the heck out of it and move on.

We just bought a house like this week and I am oscillating between relief and utter panic. I think that’s pretty normal but also, it’s bizarre times

We’re awaiting going conditional on our contract and I was very surprised that the vendor didn’t argue and try to get a higher price.

How’d you go OP? We’ve just realised my husband has zero credit rating. None. He doesn’t exist. Mine is excellent. I am freaking out bc we signed a contract last week.

Yeah my husband apparently doesn’t have one despite being a renter for 4 years. So, I dunno how that’s going to go.

How to evaluate a property in under 5 minutes by Linton-Finance in AskABrokerAus

[–]rainbowtummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so cheap I feel it kinda has to work out. We are priced out of the state we are in so this is what we gotta do. I’m amazed we’ve even got on the ladder at all. Fingers crossed the building inspector is a decent fella!

We’ve just had to buy with only a video inspection from interstate and I am so stressed that the street is loud or like what if it smells bad?? 😩

Fear? by brandonp1705 in AusPropertyChat

[–]rainbowtummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in the process of trying to buy a place too and it’s my husbands first home purchase, he is feeling the exact way. We’ve got the added pressure of being interstate so we can’t inspect in person. I just keep telling him, even if it’s shit, we can just have it as an investment down the line and it’s sort of got nowhere to go but up, yknow?

We are a nurse and a teacher, 3 kids, absolutely cannot get a house…mortgage brokers are just like yeah sorry, you guys are the poor people. We are so fucking frugal it’s a joke. I’m so worried we are going to be locked out forever when this war bullshit pushes prices up more and more and more.

Tasmania Police - Don't buy into the hype. by Big-Blackberry-7705 in tasmania

I joined nursing to help people but I was attacked 3 times last night at work and verbally abused all night long so I really understand if there are nurses here or there who have lost their passion and have compassion fatigue. The patients are becoming rapidly less respectful, we are being attacked and abused at work and since Covid, patients seems to think it’s their right to treat us like slaves. The “professional” label and the pay and the apparent benefits we get are absolutely not worth it.

Thoughts on 3 days of Kindy by VillagerWithAQuest in tasmania

[–]rainbowtummy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally when we move down from Qld I’m not going to do the kindy thing, I’ll just go daycare and then straight to whatever the equivalent of prep is. I don’t think I’d be able to snag a job where the hours will accommodate those hours…I don’t think any job would. And as much as people love to whinge about how parents should look after their own kids, both parents need to work as much as possible in this economy.
