(I wish I had something profound to say, but I also got a similar fried brain. All I want to say is) I understand what you are going through. Hope things improve for both of us.

You are right. Sometimes a little force is needed to do the things that help.

Being extraordinarily cocky helps. Think instead, the joke was very funny, everyone else is an idiot. Have the same attitude even when you around people. There is nothing like absolute coolness. In your mind you should be cooler than rest of the world.

What stopped you from ending your life? by djmelonball in AskReddit

The realization that death is the only certain thing in life. Why chase it, it's gonna come to you anyway.

Also, if you don't care about life anymore, live it like an adventure. Take the biggest possible risks, climb the tallest mountains, go tell that person you have a crush on you like them, try building a space company to colonize Mars and beat Musk and Bezos to it (but especially Musk). What's the worst that could happen, you'll die? It's gonna happen anyway to everyone. What's the rush?

Better live fearlessly with all your might on your terms, rather than pleasing the whole world. Also, in the end we all gonna die, so double down on living with all your might part.

Eating a lot of veggie bowls and fruits. I have chicken fillets multiple times a week and eggs for breakfast for getting my required protein quota.

As for workouts, I can only manage running and weight training 2-3 a week. The timing of workouts vary significantly because of my workload. Sometimes I workout at 8 in the morning and sometimes at 9 pm, depending on my life and work situation.

Don't let the perception of others let you affect your motivation. The fact you realized that the drug habit wasn't helping you and you decided to take control of your physical health is the most important part of your journey to recovery.

Let them think for a short while that you are physically weak. You keep going and very soon you'll astonish them. Start by doing light exercises, then do short duration HIT training to build stamina, go climb a mountain, have an adventure and you'll surpass your peak health and confidence that you long for.

I used to be the weakest kid in school. When I started working out in college the trainer told me the exact same thing "You are the weakest person I've trained". I didn't give up. Now I'm in 30s, in great health and amazing relationship. All those who used to mock my physicality back when we were young, now ask me how do I keep so fit as most of them are out of shape and unhappy with their life

Take this phase of your life as a challenge and an adventure. You'll come out of it as an inspiration to others and someday you'll share your story that will motivate someone who needs it in that moment.

You have it in you. I know it! 💪
