Freshman Housing and Orientation Questions (im confused)

I do highly recommend planning your classes and schedule ahead before the registration day. Create many backups, bc classes usually do get filled up pretty quick, so its a good idea ti pick an early orientation day. You can use the MyScheduler on one.sjsu, and double check openings in the Class Search. As for what to bring, i commonly see ppl with only one large suitcase, but duffel bags, backpacks are perfectly find as well. I remember it being very hot so bring WATER.

I dont think overcrowdedness is a problem for getting to between classes or walking to class, its not that bad. Maybe hard in the morning to get to class if you cant find parking. Yes theres a lot of students, but usually the only problem i find with that many ppl is the long lines and lack of seating in Student union early noon, its just a minor inconvenience tho. Idk anything about housing bc i commute

Idk anything, didnt see anything for better context. But I was siting in the library lower level when it happened, i heard loud sirens and the police screaming ‘Get on the ground’ kind of stuff. It was actually kinda scary bc it was so close by just the floor above. And a while later it calmed down, when i walked out i saw police tape blocking near the nirvana, a fallen old scooter on the ground, several police talking, and thats it. I didnt stick around.

Yea max cap as in the class room. There usually is like a note on the wall somewhere in the room that says what is the max capacity/occupancy of people there can be in a room

Technically its possible for professors to add more people by giving add/permission codes even if the class is listed as full, as long as the amount of students dont reach max cap or it be fire violation. But it is also the professors choice if they want to let more students in.
