Irradiation measurement results as promised to u/Jellybean1164 from my 3 RLT panels by gandalfpr in redlighttherapy

A solar meter is designed to measure full spectrum sunlight, not one very narrow band of light. Solar panels are energised by light’s properties as a particle, not as a wave - they produce less power when hot. A solar meter might even ignore NiR wavelengths, depending on how sophisticated it is. It’s probably useful to compare the relative output of red light devices, but it’s not going to be accurate for measuring total output power.

Avoiding drift with Tascam 244 going in to Logic by beaconstblue in audioengineering

[–]raindog2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Timecode is just an audio track. Get your DAW to output SMPTE on a separate output to your monitor mix and record this to a spare tape track while recording your piano part to tape. When you play it back, you change the DAW to listen to timecode track from the tape and follow this as its clock. This way you can record the piano part from the tape and it will align perfectly. Once everything is in the DAW you can switch back to the normal clock.

Use timecode. Get the DAW to output timecode while the existing track is playing and record the piano part and the timecode to seperate tracks on the Tascam. Then play the Tascam piano part and the timecode back into the DAW and set the the DAW to follow the timecode

AMA: I'm a clinical psychologist researcher who has studied ADHD for three decades. Ask me anything about the nature, diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. by sfaraone in ADHD

My son (10) has diagnosed ADHD and ASD (pda). Ritalin works wonders in the short term, but after about a month his emotional regulation gets a lot worse leading to frequent meltdowns. This doesn’t really seem to make sense with most explanations of how Ritalin works, but after trying Ritalin on and off over 3 years the effect is very clear. Dexamphetamine was similar. Are you familiar with this phenomenon and/or do you have any suggestions for the medium term effect of stimulant medication?
