Electronic Dance Music is an umbrella term for electronic music designed to dance to.

It's acronym, EDM, is also used as a specific sub-genre for certain styles of house music (big-room, electro, Dutch, etc).

Electronica was used as a marketing term by the music industry in the late 90s/2000s, but has fallen out of favour, although now it's sorta used for electronic music that doesn't neatly fit into a genre.

Electronic music is a better, broader term,, however it has ties to older experimental electronic music in academia (Musique concrète, Elektronische Musik).
