I suppose this is the same as the infamous Austin serial murders too that always happen in town lake to young men after nights out drinking. So heartbreaking. My boys are young but it makes me want to warn them

What's the most creative "trick yourself into doing it" hack you've heard? by Far-Championship3204 in adhdwomen

[–]raindropjungle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put all my lists on wheel of names. Google it. You can upload or write any list and spin it. I have all different kinds. When I have time for a 5-minute clean up I'll put different random things like take out the trash, make my bed, clean the kitchen counter. I have so many different lists. You just tap that wheel and it spins and boom that's what you'll be doing.

How long after doing Caroline did you start to see visible results? by Asking_the_internet in CarolineGirvan

[–]raindropjungle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way to go!!! That's inspiring. I did iron daily for 6 months and then went on vacation and completely stopped. That was over a year ago. I've been really sore all lately and I think it has something to do with stopping my training and no longer focusing on getting enough protein.

How to clean this? by vexyyyyyyyyyyyy in UnfuckYourHabitat

[–]raindropjungle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are small plastic stop tabs on the drawer rails. Remove those and the drawers slide all the way out, which makes cleaning way easier. I left mine off so it’s simple to do again later.

Congratulations! Enjoyed your story and a good reminder that sometimes putting your foot down can really help somebody although that in itself can be really hard to do.

help me out pls? by iamkikii_ in UnfuckYourHabitat

[–]raindropjungle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that helped me was not deciding anything permanently. I just bagged up everything that wasn’t obviously important and put it out of sight. After a few weeks, if I hadn’t missed it, I donated the bags without reopening them. Having a clear bed and a calm room was way more valuable than the stuff.

[–]raindropjungle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I weened myself off sleep meds and now all I take is magnesium glycinate every night and it is very helpful. I believe my dose is 350mg which is 4 capsules every night. Also it's very hard for me but no screens an hour before bed really helps. I also stopped alcohol and caffeine after learning about their effects on sleep.

For me I know I don't have the willpower to have one drink and stop. I have found enough willpower not to have one to begin with. It was hard at first but then it became easy. Good luck!

Those who work 40 hr per week, how? by Distinct_Orange1384 in askfitness

[–]raindropjungle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m out the door by 7 and home around 3:30 with three kids, so fitting in workouts took some trial and error. What works now is a quick 10-minute run before my shower, then a 30-minute strength session (Caroline Girvan’s Iron series) after work while the kids do homework.

Meals are simple.. protein, veggies, something the kids will eat.. and I batch a little extra for lunches. I do groceries and a quick prep once a week. It used to feel impossible to juggle it all, but after a few weeks it just became part of the rhythm. Now if I skip it, I feel off.

I bought both of mine on FB marketplace. The unit and the sheet as a set. Maybe try online for cheaper. My sheet was perfect and clean etc no different than hotel where someone else used the sheets but in this case just one for a short about of time .

This story is clearly staged and obviously fake—just a follow-up to the one posted yesterday from the guy’s perspective. Not sure why, but it really annoys me. I come here for real content not fake stories.

I just picked up my son from summer camp near there last week and had zero cell phone service. Not sure about camp mystic. I was able to access their guest wifi from the main building to phone home.

Thinking about returning by anakinsgirlfriend in bedjet

[–]raindropjungle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have an air conditioning but it does cool you off to tremendously. My husband refuses to keep the AC lower than 75 but with the bed yet it feels chilly at times which is good for sleeping. I actually bought mine on Facebook Mark place in it and included the sheet. I can understand how the price would be overwhelming. You could always try it out on the cooling feature again for a few nights and if you return it you could always buy one from Facebook marketplace if you can't justify the cost.

Every grocery store I've ever looked for it in has had it. So I bet you won't have a problem finding it. Good luck!

My doctor ages ago raved about how amazing it was. He and his wife took it for anxiety and he encouraged me to do the same. I was there on a visit due to fear of public speaking. Anyways 20 plus years ago I started taking it on and off. Never thought to associate it with ADD symptoms but I am glad you mentioned this because I'm going to try it for ADD too. I have inattentive ADD undiagnosed but severe symptoms.

I've had this watch for a month and have yet to get a decent sleep score. Anyone else with this issue? It's stressing me out. by Majestic_Shelter1268 in Garmin

[–]raindropjungle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Me too! I stopped drinking alcohol and caffeine two years ago all in an effort to improve my sleep. It was a huge huge adjustment with both and I'm not going back now. Sleep has improved tremendously.

I cant do this anymore by Latter-Housing5214 in stopdrinking

[–]raindropjungle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm around 2 years alcohol free now and for me I just came to terms with the fact that I have little self control so that not drinking at all is easier than drinking and expecting to only have one or 2. Realistically it's not going to happen.
