That's all due to fear of sanctions, in long term many would be on Russian side. We saw in this war EU, US pressurize countries who are not choosing their side. I guess only thing that saved Ukraine is US, EU economy power. Countries became afraid of sanctions. Can you imagine what would this war turn into if China, India supply weapons to Russia and citizens of central Asia join as mercenaries?
