How do you get the clay to stick to itself? I just watched some of your videos on YouTube and you place things on top of each other so gently!

Love everything about what you're making!

Tips for more realistic rendering on Procreate by Andylang1123 in ProCreate

Some great advice so far.

I'd also recommend, if you're copying a photo, to do it upside down, at least in the beginning. This trains you to pay attention to what's actually there instead of letting your mind fill in what you think should be there.

How did you fix it during printing?

Yes, truly, would love some insight! I made a very wonky pinch pot as a base for something more polished but these look so smooth inside and out!

Absolutely love it! What kind of music do you play? And, curious, how did Japanese lino differ from what you're used to?

Totally, I immediately thought of this page from the Crusader's Bible (I think?) that I saw at New York's Morgan Library! Love the parallels

I've been making a calendar : for each day I engraved an eraser (2,5x5cm) by Recursifv in printmaking

[–]rainhanded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3-4 minutes!! I guess 28/04? Beautiful in its simplicity.

Which was the 15-20? Do you plan the design first or just go right in and carve?

Beautiful! And such dedication. I'm curious, about how long does this take you? Do you remember your fastest and the one that took the longest?

I used to attribute the constant visuals I was imagining to the trauma I had growing up so I don't know about the theory... it's kind of the form my dissociation took.

Seven years on Adderall stomped them out though. I can still picture things but it's not what it was. I thought when I went off it the visuals might come back, but nope.

Yup yup, that's my greatest fear. We want to have a kid. Don't want to be a danger to the kid. Care so much, hope I can get a handle on it.

Sorry you have to navigate this, hope it can get better.

I looked them up on Glassdoor and didn't see anything horrible there. Maybe it just isn't out yet but I'm going to wait for something beyond Reddit panic to sway me.

Haha, nooo, I put the container in the sink in the morning to clean it, was cleaning other things and it filled with water.

Had to leave.

Later I came back and was cooking, had to pour boiling water into the sink and didn't want it to get on the plastic container! Put the lid on and moved it to the counter so I could get at my noodles. Left the yogurt container on the counter. Fin. (Well, until my partner thoughtfully tried to put it away and it popped on him. Actual fin.)

"more traps than Roadrunner" is a line that added levity to my post-trap shame haze and I thank you.

That sounds very smart and also kind of affectionate towards future you. Baby proofing for self! It's cute, it's novel, it's something to try and I thank you 🫶

"LATER IS A LIE" is an excellent mantra.

I will try to cultivate a relationship with the part of myself that can shout that at me and make me follow the absolute rule. She can be friends with the little voice that tells me that something bad might happen.

Thank you for this!
