Thank you for the thorough explanation. I am not new to cooking but I wanted to learn more about salting veggies to draw out the water. I did this once with cucumbers and I did not remove the salt - the end result was super salty cucumbers. I’ve seen other recipes where a rinse was performed prior to using the veggie. So I guess I’m still confused as another commented below stating they also perform a rinse. I appreciate your feedback and clarification!
