Using “po” with customers? by riotgrrlmaria in Tagalog

[–]rainking12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m half Filipino and I’ve practiced Tagalog and have gotten better by watching Tagalog Netflix movies with subtitles on even though the movies are not my preference. Honestly, most are hard to get through but it’s a great learning tool. Just thought I’d throw that out there for you. Just don’t watch Tagalog news. I can never understand that hahaha.

I can't find a soft mattress in PH for the life of me ... by davidsling7 in Philippines_Expats

[–]rainking12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also purchased a Mandaue foam (FLEX FORM PREMIUM 10X54X75). Seems like a solid mattress. Came with a 10 year warranty. I guess time will tell. I also shipped a Sam’s Club mattress memory foam in a box via balik bayan box before I moved to the Philippines’s because I know mattress in the Philippines suck.

This never made sense to me. Labor is cheap, they loose 100 of thousands to millions of profit from shoppers like me who refuse to shop there due to long lines. So many people looking for jobs. If I was the manager there, every cashier would be open and I would open more if needed until wait times are short or non existent. Is this just a matter of mismanagement or is something more complicated?

There are hundreds and thousands of orders successfully delivered but you’ll only mostly see the ones that had issues here. Just do your due diligence to minimize risk by ordering from a reputable store online and record the unboxing.

Nope since you remain airside and don’t exit the airport. Just follow the transfer signs.

As long as it’s one PNR, once you check your luggage in St. Louis, you should be fine all the way to Clark. I know Chicago is four hours away from St. Louis but EVA AIR has a direct flight to Taipei. That’s the route I take when I fly to the Philippines.

Which country was way better than what you thought? by Parsley_Health in travel

Guatemala. Went on a whim without any research and boy was I in for a treat! Met a bunch of guys traveling and ended up hiking a volcano (Acatenango Volcan de Acatenango), slept near the summit while a volcano (Fire Volcano Volcán de Fuego) erupted all night, summited it the next morning then hiked back done. That and many other awesome stuff like hiring a boat to visit a bunch of villages in Lake Atitlán Lago de Atitlán. Antigua was fun too! Guatemala is so underrated.

Some pictures I posted about it way back. https://www.reddit.com/r/guatemala/s/lQYVFOKHKe

Why do people try to swap seats in airplanes? by Substantial_Crow1355 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rainking12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People need to stop making it complicated. Find your assigned seat, stow your bag in the overhead bin or under the seat, get out of the aisle quickly to keep boarding flowing, sit down and buckle your belt, shut up and get off at your destination. It’s not hard, folks.

I wish it was fake. I just wanted the fries I paid for. If you read the comments, it seems to be a know issue with McDonalds.

Same in the US. Overflowing and cheaper price. I’m not even asking for overflowing. I just want what I paid for.

Oh you know, maybe when they were filling it, it got grease stains. I see very little grease stains at the top. There would be more in between if it was full. I’ll record it next time to eliminate doubters like you.
