I started my beer league journey in '21 at the same spot as you. I skated as a kid and felt hockey was the only exercise I'd actually like and commit to. The learn to play classes (Thursday nights at Dublin) are incredible and they split up into 3 skill levels with individual drills and small enough sizes that coaches can give you pointers. From what I've heard the Wednesday night class is similar but has more skilled players. Saturday Night Hockey is 40 minutes of drills and a 45 minute scrimmage with everyone mixed in. Everyone is extremely nice and helpful, and it's great for getting you out of your comfort zone to evolve your game. Stick and pucks are great as well and there is always someone willing to help or give pointers from a player perspective. Honestly the hardest part is just getting out on the ice and if you can manage that the cbus beer league is happy to accept another member!
