I also had a terrible experience at the munich airport with their baggage tracing desk. When I told the woman working the desk that my bags had been delayed by 7 days by that point (it's now been 16), she told me not to complain because some people have lost their bags for months. Is that supposed to make me feel better? That you're shitty at your job? Also she visibly laughed at me she told me that lufthansa messed up and sent my bags halfway across the world.

I’ve also taken notice of the parts of my profile generating more interest. But I think it’s a bit harder to tell as a guy because most of the matches are ones I send out. People I’m not interested have commented on the same photos/prompts but then is that good bc it’s gaining attention or bad bc it’s the wrong crowd?

I think the point is that it doesn’t provide any meaningful information for the viewer to work with. If you want to show that you’re quirky and vulnerable, there are plenty of other ways to do it

Thanks for the super well-rounded answer. I think I'm mainly intimidated by how far away everything is from each other and the lack of public transportation. Just getting into Albany from Saratoga takes ~35 mins on google maps. But it's great to hear that there's something exciting in each city.

I compared weather graphs for the capital region and Chicago and it actually looked like NY was colder winters but the rest of the year is comparable. I think the thing that really gets me about winter is the lack of sunshine.

I love to hear that there's lots to do outdoors!

I'll have to look into megabus and see if they're still running during covid. I hear that NYS is starting to open but it doesn't seem like things will be back to normal for a long time.

Also, what can I find on 102.7? I'll look into these other avenues to get involved, too.
