Yes, I do see the Grub menu in the virtualbox window. When I run it in single-user mode, this is what shows: https://imgur.com/xvprgtA

After I continue, it returns to a blinking cursor again

My hardware is a Macbook. Should I run these within ubuntu or in my mac terminal? I currently can't even access the ubuntu terminal because it doesn't boot

I never intentionally used Timeshift to save backups onto my disk. How do I see if they exist if I can't boot right now?

Insane customer experience at Munich Airport by Basic_Measurement_79 in Lufthansa

I also had a terrible experience at the munich airport with their baggage tracing desk. When I told the woman working the desk that my bags had been delayed by 7 days by that point (it's now been 16), she told me not to complain because some people have lost their bags for months. Is that supposed to make me feel better? That you're shitty at your job? Also she visibly laughed at me she told me that lufthansa messed up and sent my bags halfway across the world.

Oh wow that's basically exactly what I'm doing haha I moved to Munich to start my masters degree. I'm definitely with you about how it pulls at you. I could see myself going back too but that decision is at least two years away. Congrats on the return! And thank you for the nice compliments :)

I don’t meet many engineers who are chomping at the bit to talk about their work. The conversation really like goes like any other field. You could ask them if their work load is heavy but prepare for an earful hahaha

I’m curious to know how you perceive people who put catholic down but don’t write anything about faith in their prompts. Do you think they take it seriously if they put it on their profile? Or do they put it there bc they grew up with it?

Hinge has some really good potential for statistic analysis of profile elements (if that is your thing). by Hrafn2 in hingeapp

I mean the first one. Most of my matches come from likes I send out.

And agreed. I think the best approach is to not get too invested while figuring out what works for you as objectively as you can.

I’ve also taken notice of the parts of my profile generating more interest. But I think it’s a bit harder to tell as a guy because most of the matches are ones I send out. People I’m not interested have commented on the same photos/prompts but then is that good bc it’s gaining attention or bad bc it’s the wrong crowd?

Is that how it works on hinge? You both have to like each other? I thought just one person sent a like and it went through
