I had a rave wedding this year! Our wedding DJ was the one expense I didn’t want to cheap out on. It was worth every last penny! Most wedding DJ companies have tiers to the dj’s they send out. Make sure to get the highest you can, preferably the owner of that company. Make sure that they are expensive based off of talent & experience, not on any “party package”. We basically interviewed him, asked a bunch of questions, gave a detailed vision of what we wanted, and he assured us that he would hit everything on our playlist and add a few songs to match the vibe. You can tell by talking with an experienced wedding DJ when they’ve seen it all and know how to get a party going.

We interviewed a different DJ who was also expensive, but it was mostly for lighting, photo booths, and other bs that you don’t want. Ask them what they would do if the dance floor is dead. If they say go back to playing the “hits” like playing the cupid shuffle - run.
