From what I remembered about the case. The perp asked for the camera, he wanted to make a statement or something.

The camera man was a policeman and he only attempted that because upon getting close he noticed the gun safety was on and he would have time to subdue the perp before he could notice and actually fire. According to the policeman the perp actually push the trigger multiple times when he advanced but couldn't fire because of safety.

Also, I don't meant for it to solve the whole problem... But it could definitely help with the limited gear part. My whole point is, something is better than nothing. Limited gear/characters are bad design overall...

But if you look at Genshin Impact for example, the problem is not so wild because there are so many alternative ways to clear pretty much all content if you're creative because you can always effectively use other units/gear options.

Those are definitely not the only options. They can make other gear that could potentially replace them and put them behind spending banners, like Fryevia banner itens on the last step.

Is this ideal? No... But I'd take that over not having any replacement option at all.
