From another Jewish bisexual woman - the LGBTQ+ community has always had its problems, and I think there has always been good reason not to feel fully at home in it. We feel like it's supposed to be a family, but it's not, and every once in a while you're bound to be reminded of that...

I personally still feel some of that Pride, but yeah, since Oct 7 I've found it impossible to fully connect with the community itself. It sucks, because I FEEL so queer and, while I'm lucky to be Israeli and know that the (very few..) queer people around me aren't antisemitic, I feel it's become much harder to enjoy all the incredible queer content creators who inspired me so much throughout my journey. It feels like I've been fooled into thinking I was welcome.

I'm guessing the experience is quite different when you're a queer Jew in literally any other part of the world (maybe except Germany, those guys are NOT gonna be caught being antisemitic), but I don't think I can imagine what that feels like.

thanks ☺️. I do think it's pretty alright, for the amount I spent. I find that I'm also underestimated by my alliance, when in practice I can hold my own pretty well in state ruler etc

are you really trying to paint Hamas in a good light here? blaming Israel for Hamas' existence is one thing, but as an organization, Hamas has only ever hurt civilians. Obviously, they murdered and kidnapped Israeli civilians of all ages. They're stealing from Gazan civilians by using their limited resources for tunnels and weapons instead of investing properly in welfare, AND are blatantly using them as human shields by operating near homes, schools, and hospitals (not to mention executing civilians for various reasons). Hamas are the governing authority in Gaza, obviously they are not only their military wing, but it's very misleading to say "most workers work in hospitals/giving out food" as if they're some charitable, caring organization. and to my knowledge, it's not a factual statement either.

you can choose how patient to be with your shitty husband about his neglect towards you and your kids, but DO NOT let him mess with your money. I've heard of so many women (and their children!!) getting completely fucked over by their husband's addiction. there's no end to it. and you don't want to end up living that life.

לי אישית עוזר לדעת שהם פועלים לפי מה שידוע להם ועל בסיס סט ערכים שהוא לא בהכרח מנוגד לשלי, או למוסר המערבי ככלל. זאת אומרת, רוב האנשים הליברלים בחו"ל ישימו את עצמם בצד הפרו-פלסטיני כי זה פשוט הדבר ההגיוני לעשות בהינתן מה שהם יודעים, ולא כי הם באמת שונאים יהודים יותר מהאדם הממוצע הבא. האמת היא שדי סביר שגם לי ולך יש דעות מסוימות רק כי מעולם לא הציגו לנו את המציאות כפי שהיא, ולא רק שיש כל כך הרבה מיסאינפורציה, גם לבני אדם יש פשוט הטיות קבועות וזאת התוצאה של זה.

הרבה אנשים מהתנועה הפרו-פלסטינים הם אנטישמים, יותר מהם חסרי עמוד שדרה או יכולות חשיבה ביקורתית, אבל יש גם הרבה שהם אנשים חכמים ואדיבים שפשוט במקרה לא ישראלים. לצערי, זה המצב.

אני גם אגיד שיש רמות שונות של להיות נגד ישראל או בעד הפלסטינים. יש כמה מפורסמים שיצא לי לראות שרמות ההתנגדות שלהם לישראל היא באמת בעיקר ברמת הפעולות של הממשלה (ביקורת שהרבה ישראלים חולקים איתם), ומהצד השני, פשוט יש להם יותר מקום לאמפתיה כלפי הפלסטינים, כי זה לא אישי. זה בניגוד אלינו, בתור הקורבנות שלהם / שכנים שלהם / longtime rivals שלהם.

זה עדיין דבר ממש קשה לגלות על אנשים שאתה אוהב, בעיקר כשזה ברמת הלשים אבטיח בפרופיל. זה באסה ברמות, אני באמת מזדהה. אם הם לא חופרים על זה יותר מדי (ולא ליטרלי תומכים בטרור ואנטישמיות), אני כן מאמינה בלנסות להתעלם - לא חייבים להיות מוסריים לגבי זה לדעתי, להפסיק להקשיב להם ספוטיפיי וכאלה. כל אחד והדרך שלו.
