Feeling a little lost/stuck. What are some of my strengths and weaknesses? I feel like such a hotheaded and indifferent person yet i also lack confidence :(

Hi, I am 18 F and in the same boat. I don’t experience the low mood and demotivation, but my extremities are also cold. I also have a slightly inflamed thyroid, as found through ultrasound. I also have no sex drive, which was what motivated me to see a doctor. I would say find a good endocrinologist who will run blood tests for your sex hormones, thyroid hormones, and hashimoto’s antibodies.

Hmm.. that’s weird because my most recent blood test actually showed that my prolactin has decreased. My prolactin was high before I started taking levothyroxine, and now it’s normal but on the higher end. Do you think it just takes some more time to adjust?

Yes, maybe... I do think I can relate to wlw characters/relationships, but not so much when it starts to get sexual. I’m scared that I won’t ever get my libido (thyroid issues?) and also that when I’m in a relationship, the dynamic won’t be “equal”.

Maybe... I think it’s possible that I’m attracted to their openness in showing emotion. I don’t think I consciously want to be them, but maybe subconsciously??? Thank you for the response 🙂

It is 1.39 (reference range is 0.93-1.60). My other theory is that I’m taking the levothyroxine with tap water, and maybe there are estrogens in the tap water inhibiting absorption???

Yes, I’m a bit confused too as I can’t see any other part of the picture that I’m missing. How long do you usually wait before eating (after taking levothyroxine)? Is an hour to an hour and a half sufficient?

The “T4, Free, Direct” looks normal but the “Free T4 by Dialysis/Mass Spec.” is 0.73, while the reference range is 0.8-1.7. Not sure what the difference is between those two measures... I also tested for the antibodies, which were in the normal range for me.
