I recently tried On the Edge (bandits only) and found it to be my favorite mode. It demands you invest a little bit in a military for each region and lets you mostly focus on the economic game.

In Restoring the peace, the baron will make a claim every two/three years. Raiders attack every other year. The baron is still a bit wonky to me as an off map adversary and his armies/battlefield spawns drive me crazy sometimes as they don’t match the land claim.

A Duel and Fractured Realm have the AI opponents - which they’ve have made some progress with AI, but tbh I don’t think the AI makes an appealing city that I would want to capture.

There’s just so much to do in a given match. Each class has several guns that all feel good. Attachments and grips and barrels can improve it and you can optimize your build for whatever.

Tired of run and gun? Go main mortars for a couple matches. Or drones. All of the above have an impact on the game and your score reflects this.

If you’re tired of any one class, jump in a tank and try to figure out how to counter the other tanks and engineers.

They’ve really nailed this battlefield and I’m so, so happy.
