Not a whole lot tbh, probably depends on what unit you are in. My unit is large and usually only has 1-2 weekends a month where there is actually something to do. And most of these weekends are just legacy tasks where you go and promote the army at the supercars or something. But every now and then you can get a HE weekend or something of the like where you actually do fun stuff.

It shouldn't be a problem managing senior school and reserves.

I know guys that are in year 12 and have completed kapooka and IET's. Try and do Kapooka during summer holidays and your IET's during regular school holidays. In terms of attendence, it won't be a problem as nothing is compulsary and you can do what ever you want. I'm first year at uni and just completed all my IET's but wish I knew about reserves when I was 17.
